I wouldn't recommend them. They are very inconsistent with everything. They will tell you one thing in the meeting, but in the end, it's their way and not what the customers want. My issue was the rapid change in project management. There was a lack of communication from one project manager to another. A lot of our wishes were omitted or left out.

America's Home Place is the only fixed-price builder in the region, which is why we went with them. We moved from Houston, Texas and were living in Texas when the home was built. This would not have been possible with other builders. We would not only recommend America's Home Place but we would use them again.

The entire process was surprisingly smooth—thanks to everyone on the team. I was impressed by the numerous models and it was very easy to find a home that met everything on my wish list and was within my budget.

We would come out here to watch them build it, and it was really fun trying to figure out where the rooms were. We love the house, and America's Home Place's builders were really good.

It took us 3 years of searching for builders and comparing pricing before we selected America’s Home Place.The team at AHP made the process much easier than anticipated.

We wanted to build sooner rather than wait 12-18 months, and fortunately we already had our lot. We had never built a home before and the team at the Ashland, Ohio location were easy to communicate with, offering a variety of plans. I went to a construction open house, in addition to talking with other people who built with America’s Home Place. Seeing the beautiful standard finishes, and knowing we could upgrade certain features, if we wanted, was very appealing. We were able to make a few easy changes to our laundry area, add some kitchen cabinets, upgrade our master shower, all which turned out wonderful and perfect for our day to day lives. We built a 3 bed, 2 bath ranch home, full unfinished basement, 2 car garage. Broke ground June 4, 24 and moved in the first week of November.

Nothing will ever be perfect with a new house. AHP was great with communication and managing our expectations throughout the process. Even after we moved in, AHP has continued the great communication and support.

We truly love the house. Great quality. One major issue is all rooms have cat 6 cable installed in walls. They never connected them to the plug plates. Probably because they installed phone jack plates in every room instead of kat 6 connections. None of the wires have a terminal end fitting. Disappointed in that. But love the kitchen and small bar counter top for two stools. Perfect size for our forever home.

Yes, we would be very likely to recommend American home place to friends and family. It was a overall great experience working with Morgan and his staff and with our project managers.

The whole process was as smooth as a new build can be. There was communication when needed and we were never left wondering what was happening at any time during the build.

The price was very attractive for the house we really liked. The budget was realistic and came in under the estimated amount. The build time was faster than any other builder we have heard other people use. We are very pleased overall with the house. Our biggest issue was with communication between us and the project manager. Mostly it was positive but when we were dissatisfied with placement of the well cap, we were met with a considerable amount of push back. It was eventually resolved but left us feeling disrespected. We also had issues with items in the roof that were eventually addressed but now we have a buckling of the shingles that will be addressed in the spring. The driveway is underwhelming as we already have visqueen showing through the gravel. We also had to pay additional funds to correct an error made by the driveway contractor. The warranty group has been very responsive.
