They ripped both of my couches, and never fixed it. They said they were going to fix it, but they never did.
A job that could be completed in a week was dragged on to 8 months. Project Manager made multiple appointments for inspections, estimates, work, etc. just to not show up without notice. No regards to the fact that customer had to take time off work for every appointment just to waste all day for nothing, without any decency to give notice of cancellation; very disrespectful. Project Manager never inspected the work in person during the job nor after the job is finished. Workers are skillful and neat but could use guidance from Project Manager, resulting them having to come back an extra day of work for minor details and finishing touch. Where again, no call no show to final appointment made, just to show up unannounced days later. Would never recommend Oakwood Construction to anyone. Horrible customer experience throughout the process.
Great customer service and an honest effort to make sure that the job was done correctly. I would definitely recommend Oakwood. Construction if you have a job that needs to be completed.
I was impressed with the company's intense work ethic in taking great care of my personal effects. They were cleaned all the way through and showed up on time. I was well pleased with their work.
They were sent out by Liberty Mutual. They did the demo, but didn't come back and do the reconstruction. They kept putting me off, then ghosted me, and didn't call me back at all. It has been two months since the demo and 3 weeks since they said they would call me but haven't. My brother came from another state and stayed with me for four days. We hung the drywall.
This company has been a night mare to work with. I had three different project managers who quit or were fired by Oakwood. They don’t last because they are given too many projects. Each of them would come to the house without having read what exactly was the scope and I would describe it to every one in detail with every visit. They didn’t have enough subcontractors to do the jobs and have taken a year to do something that would have taken two months to complete. We were in a hotel for six months with no end in sight until I called them every day pushing for answers. I definitely got various people from top management promising to take charge and deal with them directly to get it completed and that usually lasted about a week before you never heard from them. Now it is a year, I am still waiting for the caulking to be fixed and the light fixture to be replaced, one they broke a year ago. Caulking, a simple task, was done three times in the bathroom and is periling off. Please please do not use them. I am about to talk to Alacrity who hired these contractors to do the job. Our home insurance was through Geico so not some cheap fly by night place.
They did a good job, as far as the water mitigation and covering the roof leak. I think that was great.
They were just great. The job went on for four months, and they knew where everything was. I was looking for something, and they told me exactly which box it was in. They were very organized.
To be very careful with the people they send to your house. They burglarized my home and stole over $100,000.00 in jewelry and money.
The quality of work was excellent. We had a block wall with a vinyl fence topper fall down during a windstorm. They took care of everything and dealt with the insurance company. Excellent service.
The quality of work completed was fantastic. The sub-contractors utilized were high quality and efficient. There were some admin issues in the beginning, but they were quickly resolved.
They were very nice, and they did a real good job of cleaning up and sacking up everything. I was very satisfied with it.
I would never use them under any circumstances.
They just were very professional. They were very polite and courteous to my mother.
We were very satisfied. The work took a little bit longer. There were some problems along the way, but when they were here working, everybody we worked with--the floor painter, the plumbers, the painters, the drywall people, the inspectors--everybody did a very good job.
I had water damage and my insurance company recommended Oakwood Construction They were extremely professional and informative each step of the way. I will recommend them in a heart beat. Thank you.
This was very easy.
There was also a lot of confusion at the beginning. I might have been slow in making some of my decisions but the guy at the flooring company, his demeanor was sort of like he was talking down to me and not responding to my emails. There was a lot of miscommunication between Oakwood Construction and the flooring company. They didn't give me a lot of information on the floors. I had no idea what was going on and he didn't explain it very well. In the end, it was all good but getting to that point was sort of a pain.
We had a few glitches due to lack of commuication with our insurer, and a problem explaining a special area of the carpeting (a hole for a floor safe), but all worked out very well in the end.
They were very thorough, friendly and professional.
They will prolong your project and will put you off for other clients. They wanted to leave my job to do an emergency call when my house in complete shambles.
They were fine. Everything went well.
A well meaning team but very poor communication both within their company and with us. One hand did not know what the other was doing. The work turned out beautiful but a lot of confusion and aggravation.I live in a classic 1932 Spanish home in the hills of Los Feliz.... Oakwoods people were not familiar with how to keep the integrity of the design. Seems they are more comfortable with new homes.
The professionalism was top notch.
I had an excellent experience with Oakwood after a plumbing/flood incident. Work was well done and completed in a timely manner. Lisa McKinney was my wonderful, communicative and respectful project manager. I highly recommend you request her as she was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Her vendors and sub contractors were excellent. She was a pleasure to do business with.Oakwood's team who packed and reloaded all of my furniture and personal belongings were absolutely amazing. Nothing was damaged, all was carefully labeled and every textile was cleaned and ironed and returned in better condition.Oakwood's office staff called to check in every week and estimator was always willing to go to battle with my insurance company to help get the most value out of my loss. I would highly recommend Oakwood for any remediation or repair work. Especially due to fire or water damage!! Bravo Oakwood!
