I wanted to have 5 of my cherry kitchen cabinet doors refinished, as they were the most used in my kitchen and, after 23 years, showed signs of wear. Initially I hired a refinisher who claimed he could restore my 5 doors so they would look the same as my other, unblemished, doors. He did a terrible job, nowhere near my expectations. I was then fortunately referred to Matt Slater through a local building contractor. Matt turned out to be a kitchen cabinet door savior. He invited me to his workplace so I could examine his operation, and he e-mailed me photos of the job in progress, including pictures of the stripped doors and the restraining process. He completed the job on time and exactly according to the estimate he provided me with. While reinstalling the doors he talked about different methods of refinishing wood, including recently developed staining products from Europe. He left me with a very positive impression of his professionalism and job knowledge and skill. And he is friendly and easy to communicate with, and his pricing is very fair. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the refinishing work he did on my cabinet doors.

Slater Painting removed an old “popcorn ceiling” for us, and did several other drywall repairs. These were all very messy jobs, but they were meticulous about keeping things clean. When they were done there was NO drywall dust. These guys were fantastic and we’d use them again, no question.

I am so delighted with the work done by Slater et al.......I was really dreading the mess and disorganization of having rooms painted in my home but work needed to be done and I had seen work they had done at another home so grit my teeth and hired them. What a wonderful surprise. They arrived on time, covered every inch that wasn't being painted, did all the agreed upon plastering and painting beautifully and then put everything back in order and didn't leave one fleck of dried paint or plaster. I am thrilled with their work!
