BEWARE of this builder! We hired Twin Construction to design and build our home. It was a NIGHTMARE.

They took 2 years to build, which was supposed to take 1. Our project manager had no prior experience. Another PM quit within weeks, recognizing the poor state of projects and unhappy clients. Twin’s “licensed contractor” was hardly at the site. Weeks/months went by with no progress. During the build, there was an extreme lack of supervision and ensuring work was done properly. Twin had to redo work over and over because of the poor execution. We recently found out, there are others facing similar issues and in litigation.

Here are a few of the 100’s of issues we went through: The home was incorrectly designed with a slab foundation instead of pilings per code. Our pool was built backwards. Black on black windows are covered in white overspray. Doors/windows look like they are dragged over pavement, (Twin attempted to “repair” with spray paint). Air and vents were poorly insulated, water was pouring out of them damaging the home for months. Wood floors have white overspray on the entire perimeter. Switch and outlet covers are caulked to the wall, and have cut outs too large for the cover. Nail pops cover every wall and ceiling. Doors/walls out of square (sliders barely open, screens don't fit). Drip edge missing from part of roof. Fencing and railings, damaged and installed improperly. Exterior wood accents rotting out, less than a year old.

The day after we moved in, it rained, multiple windows leaked, through walls, ceilings, and floors. This was not one unit—it was multiple in different rooms. Twin first promised replacement of nearly all of the windows. I wrote word for word what they promised and asked them to sign, they refused. Told us they’d waive our small final payment while my wife was in tears. Later said they never said such a thing. They then said they would only replace a select set of windows, rather than what they first promised. When we asked questions, requested details on how, wh and what, Twin wouldnt answer, said they didnt like our “tone". This is when we got an attorney involved.

Twin was responsible for sourcing and buying materials per the budgets they set in the SOW per the home they designed. Instead Twin completely neglected the budgets. Nearly everything they presented was wayyy over our budget. This led to more unexpected out of pocket costs.

Midway through framing, we again were unexpectedly required to pay out of pocket tens of thousands more for lumber - market prices had dropped and no particular event warranted this. Similar unexpected out of pocket costs hit us on HVAC, pool, and many other items. We recently learned Twin made a critical engineering mistake, which failed to pass inspection and was costly to fix—Twin never spoke of this.

I don’t write reviews, but in this case I felt obligated to share our experience so others are aware. BEWARE of the builder.

Our new home meets our expectations. We feel like the process was very enjoyable and organized. Twin Construction met our deadlines and we are very pleased with the high quality products used to build our home.

Twin did an excellent job as always. I have recommended them many times. We had a few issues with materials coming in, but Twin worked tirelessly to resolve the issue and did all they could to stay on schedule anyway. Everyone is so nice and helpful, doing what I want and need.

Twin is a fabulous company to work with. Everyone associated with this organization is extremely professional, prompt and thorough. Twin Construction will be my go-to for any future projects.

Twin Construction truly handles the job with professionalism and knowledge of the process. We have been so pleased with each project they have handled for us over the years.

This is the second project Twin have done for us. I enjoy the total confidence I have while the work is being done that it will be completed to a high standard.

We have been so satisfied that we never seek competitive bids!

Twin Construction's skill level is very high and their people are professional from top to bottom. I would recommend them to any seeking help on a building project.

Twin exceeded our expectations from the beginning of the project to the end. They were able to prepare the proposal in such a way it was easy to determine the cost of adding to or removing parts of the scope. This proved important in our decision to use Twin. The project team assigned to the project was a great fit for our personalities. There is nothing Twin does without throughly thinking through the customer satisfaction side of things. They were professional as well as easy to talk with. There were a number of times, we (homeowners) looked at each other and just marveled at the way the project was coming together. We could not be happier with the results of our project.

We couldn't have picked a better partner to build our home. They did our project in a very timely manner and we are very pleased with the results. If we were to build again they would be the only company we would call.

I don't know what I would have done if William hadn't saved me from my "contractor nightmare". Being first time builders, we made a few mistakes hiring another local neighborhood contractor who took advantage of us. William helped us transition and work through legal issues and framing problems with our old contractor, and he treated us like family with his professional but caring demeanor. Twin honestly cares about their clients and families. Trey, our project manager, became family in our household. He was at our home every day overseeing the job, keeping me updated and keeping my nerves at ease since living in your home when adding an addition is not an pleasant undertaking! Our dogs also love them all. One of the Twin guys is our dog sitter now when we go out of town! If you want a peace of mind during a remodeling or new build, go with Twin. They are impeccable about details and precision. Don't go with a guy down the street to save a buck, go with Twin. They are worth every penny.

We had a very good experience with them. I cannot recommend them enough.
