Since 1977, Harcrest Homes has won over 92 Professionalism Awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, including Greater Atlanta Builder of the Year in 1996 (awarded to Carl Riden, founder of Harcrest Homes).
In 2000, Harcrest was recognized nationally by Builder Magazine and the National Association of Home Builders with the Lee Evans Award for Business Management Excellence.
The following year, Harcrest received one of homebuilding's most coveted national awards, America's Best Builder, also from National Association of Homebuilders and Builder Magazine. This award recognizes home builders who achieve excellence in all disciplines of home building from customer service, quality construction, and business management to design, marketing, and community service.

Buyer beware. Customer services is deplorable and not responsive. Took a year to get minor things taker care of. Materials used were of poor quality and craftsmanship was terrible. Once you sign the closing papers you will have an extremely difficult time getting anything taken care of.

Mike Smith was fantastic to work with on design revisions and the entire building process of my semi-custom home on my existing lake lot. Mike was able to adjust the existing floorplan to fit my needs, and made sure the entire build process stayed on-schedule and materials were of the expected high quality. My house is perfect for my family, was completed on-schedule, and we have been thrilled with the overall quality. I highly recommend Harcrest Homes!
