We have repeatedly used Tabor Design Build for the past 17 years. We had a whole house remodel in 2000 which was superb and done on time (needed it done by Thanksgiving and it was finished 3 days before!). The company then did smaller projects over the years. This year we had a walk-in shower and an elevator put in for mobility issues for my husband. Again, Tabor delivers quality projects and the house looks fabulous and is totally ready for "aging in place."

Areas For Improvement - Absolutely did not fall short. Given the sketchy reputations many remodelers and contractors have, Tabor stands out as exemplary. The company is our "go to" construction company for many house-related projects. We have recommended them to friends/family over the years.

We especially appreciated Frank Howard as the lead carpenter on the job who helped make everything run as smoothly as possible each day. We also really appreciated the HVAC contractors who went above and beyond to address the heating system issues during the coldest part of the winter. Lastly, Rick Crump and John Tabor were always responsive to our questions or concerns and made sure to address every issue, big or small. We really couldn't have asked for a better crew from beginning to end.

Expectations Met - The project exceeded our expectations a hundred times over. We were amazed at the organization, craftsmanship and ability to stick to the schedule. The project finished on time and under budget with only the smallest of changes or delays along the way. We could not have asked for a better renovation project. We imagined this process being very stressful and difficult on our family, and in the end, it was one of the most stress free experiences we have had as homeowners.

Areas For Improvement - I wouldn't have known that some of the painting and tile work was sub standard, but Karl made sure that it turned out perfectly. This is what distinguishes your company from the rest. How many companies would have made their subcontractors completely redo work? Especially when the owner might not know the difference? This is what impressed me the most about Tabor Design.

After years of neglect, my home was in terrible state of disrepair, e.g. broken fixtures, holes in walls, inoperable doors, rotting wood, etc. The Tabor Team took my ideas and then added their own, and the result is fantastic. I am now proud of my home. I completely trusted their advice and was so impressed with their work that I ended up asking them to do more. People who know far more about construction that I do have commented on the high quality of the work and the attention to detail. Also, there was no stress at all - the staff is friendly and accommodating - going beyond what is expected or required - they almost felt like family. Tabor Design Build is hands down the best contractors we have ever worked with. The entire staff is extremely professional, courteous, and just wonderful to deal with. The attention to detail is excellent, they care about the quality of the work, show up on time, every time, and try to keep the disruption of the household to a minimum. They work within a budget and there are no "surprises." We have more plans for them including renovating our kitchen in the near future, and we can't wait!

Peggy was excellent in helping to create a design that meets our needs and desires. The trade day was an excellent way for us to meet the people who will be working on our house. Another area that is greatly appreciated is how the budget and schedule are both agreed upon and, as close as possible, stuck to. There was any nick-picking about paying for every little thing that came up, no extra fees that were unexpected.
