We feel fortunate to have had HIVEX finish our basement. We found them to be well organized, friendly, competent and trustworthy; and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Just as importantly, we were really impressed with how the work was done. It was obvious to us that HIVEX has worked hard to create an impeccable process. From the start, Jess made an impression on us when providing an estimate for the project. She patiently helped us decide what we wanted our basement to look like and took pains to provide a transparent and comprehensive explanation of the scope work - including the floor plan and the agreement – to ensure that there were no misunderstandings or hidden costs. Once construction started, our knowledgeable and friendly project manager, Bob, took the time to explain things, offer suggestions, and remain immediately available to us if we had any questions or concerns. Bob even had his team members put up a temporary fence in our backyard to ensure that our dog wouldn’t get out when HIVEX team members accessed our basement walkout entry. All members of the HIVEX team and subcontractors were hardworking, detail-oriented, and respectful of our home, ensuring a smooth process from start to finish. The entire project was completed in 6 weeks and every detail/request and expectation was met. We truly appreciated this level of professionalism, knowhow, and responsiveness and would highly recommend HIVEX to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled basement contractor to finish their basement! He was extremely professional, kept me informed and accommodated my many changes throughout the project. He was pleasant, friendly and patient. Every crew from framing, drywall hanging, painting, carpet and flooring were all extremely professional, reliable and prompt. My finished basement exceeded my expectations! The corporate office staff was equally responsive and helpful. Someone was always available and willing to answer questions or provide details on the project. The goodness began with the estimate, 15 minutes after entering my basement I had a printed estimate that never changed. Their organization, planning and implementation was like a choreographed production. Always on time and on point!

We were very pleased with Hivex Basements. Our initial meeting with the owner put us at ease with the work to be done. He explained everything and gave us an estimate right away. They started on time, and we received updates by email explaining the next steps along the way. The questions we had were answered on a timely basis. The workmen were polite and cleaned up every day. The one thing we did not like was that the workmen left the materials behind. We are not sure if that was explained to us at the beginning or if it was in the contract somewhere. It was nice to have the extra flooring and the trim paint, but we didn't need the large container of spackle or primer paint for us to deal with. That should be explained up front, or they should remove it as part of the contract. Otherwise Hivex was great.

HIVEX did a fantastic job and has outstanding, personalized customer service. We are extremely happy with the final project.

Overall, an excellent experience. We started the project on time and finished well ahead of schedule. It helped that our project was perhaps smaller than other ones, but still we were very happy to get it finished in 4 weeks rather than the anticipated 8.
