Professional quality teamwork from initial contact with the company, the design process, lead carpenter, co-ordination with the trades, to the final visit by Josh McDermott. Thorough, thoughtful, professional, punctual

Our kitchen remodel was extensive, and J. T. McDermott was very thorough in making sure any unknown issues, such as a repair to the roof on our bay window, were taken into account so there would be no future problems with leaking after the remodel. A repair to the subfloor to remove squeaky areas and level the floor was built into the project in advance, and a surprise plumbing issue was handled very well during construction. In addition, almost two months after completion, Josh McDermott came over to review the work and found a few small issues that need attention, and I greatly appreciate knowing that those things will be fixed. It’s very reassuring to know that we can count on them to resolve any issues that may not have been noticed earlier or may arise with usage.

Very professional and organiized with good communication

The kiechen that J.T. McDermott installed helped us sell our house for $250,000 above what we paid for the house 3 1/2 years ago. I really think it was the brand new, high quality, superbly designed kitchen that sparked a bidding war between potential buyers that pushed the sale price $100,000 above asking.

It was easy to work with everyone on the McDermott team, from the designers and planners to the installers. I can't speak more highly of this company. I appreciate the fact that McDermott is a family business rather than a chain or big box solution.

We really appreciated everyone’s attention to detail on every aspect of this project. Additionally, we lived in the home, with our pets, during this project so the respect that the crews had for us and our home helped reduce the stress of a major remodel.

My kitchen and family room are beautiful! I am very happy with the choices I made for the complete remodeling of both rooms. Dave answered all my questions, took care of any concerns, and saw to it that the project moved along as scheduled. Brittany also was very helpful in answering questions, making suggestions, and getting me to final decisions that I was happy with. Ron was helpful when I had questions about miscellaneous work done elsewhere in the house, such as additional new doors.

We used JTM for an extensive bathroom remodel, where everything had to be updated or redone. We chose them not because they had the cheapest estimate, but because of the value of the quality services they offered. And now that the project is completed, we are very glad that we did! They handled everything for us on the project, offering extensive help throughout the design process, and overseeing the entire build. They communicated well, were responsive, and addressed any problems quickly and reasonably. The results are beautiful thanks to the quality workmanship. I would happily consider them again for any project in our house!

Kenny was super conscientious. Had some holiday delays, subs not quite doing things right, but Kenny, Rob, Josh and the team communicated a lot and we ended up in a great place.

They did a great job on our finished basement, including working with us to break it up into more manageable phases. Everything was handled very professionally. Megan was a joy to work with on the designs. We did experience a few issues during construction that Josh absolutely owned and made sure were fixed to our satisfaction. I had McDermott do some remodeling to my kitchen as well as remodel the bathroom in my bedroom. They were exceptional with both projects. They did such a good job that I hired them again to build a patio in my backyard. I couldn’t be happier with any of the jobs.
