I have had an outstanding experience with Riggs and Martin. This was my first experience with a major remodel, and they were incredibly patient and provided the input I needed in a timely fashion throughout. Unlike the horror stories I have heard from others about their prolonged remodeling projects, the detailed project schedule was incredibly accurate, with the rare adjustments always accounted for and time built in as needed to keep the project moving on track. The cost projections were also right on target. While I expanded the scope significantly during the project, I was always kept informed about the impact those changes would have. Any concerns that I brought up during the project were addressed and responded to nearly immediately, and I was never left wondering what was going on. The team was very conscientious with the safety, cleanliness, and security of my home and careful with my pets. They are perfectionists, which is exactly what you want in a contractor team, and they corrected and adjusted items that I hadn't even noticed that were unacceptable to their standards. My friends who have visited, including some who work in interior design/remodeling, have asked who did the work because they are so impressed with the quality of their work. They have quite the backlist of people wanting to work with them - and it is obvious why and more than worth the wait!

R &M have done excellent work for us over a period of some 13 years from kitchen rehab to full basement finishing to complete new patio and fence. Work is done with meticulous attention to detail, project is set out on a timeline at the outset, the subs they use and their own employees are craftspeople they have used for years. When we have a new project it is always great to greet employees we have gotten to know over the years. No job is considered finished until one of the owners comes over to inspect the finished project with us. We have always been extremely pleased with the work they have done for us.

It was a pleasurable experience working with Riggs and Martin. They guided us through all aspects of our kitchen remodel. They listened to what we wanted to achieve and provided us with design options based on the space. Riggs was especially good at customizing the project for us. This took some work on his part as we were unfamiliar with the possibilities. He was patient and always ready to discuss our options for designs and materials. On several occasions he met us at vendors to help us make choices. The subcontractors that R&M worked with did excellent work and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Scott Weaver checked in with us regularly to keep us up to date on scheduling and to address and issues or answer any questions that arose. In addition to the kitchen remodel we installed hardwood floors in the family room and replaced some light fixtures. When all the work was done the space was professionally cleaned and ready to use. We are very happy with all aspects of our remodel and highly recommend Riggs and Martin.

Once you begin to talk with Scott R., Scott W. and team, it becomes really clear really quickly they don’t just approach a project as ‘doing a job’ but instead building a partnership and a plan to perform home renovations with the long term in mind.

This was ‘phase 1’ for us this past year and although scope of work was relatively small, it gave us assurance to call them first when we take on phase 2 a few years from now.

Our review is completely unsolicited. After speaking with one of the many references provided by Riggs & Martin, we felt no need to contact more or consider another company. Through the entire process, Riggs & Martin were very considerate of our desires and gave us suggestions without upselling. They are very personable, take the time to listen and respond in a timely manner. We were provided a timeline of every aspect to be performed. Their subcontractors and own workers are keenly aware of the perfectionism expected and Riggs & Martin were onsite to inspect. Great care was taken to shield the areas outside of our kitchen to prevent most dust, including sweeping/vacuuming the work area afterwards each day. The custom-made maple cabinetry by their subcontractor is flawless. The entire remodel of our kitchen could not have gone smoother. In summary, you need not consider any other remodeler.
