In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.
Reviews
Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.

Great sales and initial scheduling support and coordination. The laser measurement and CNC cutting was acomplete disaster. I do not feel that I was properly informed in regard to what surface encounters is responsible for in relationship to existing tile in my kitchen.

I am sorry that you didn't feel that you were properly informed that we were not able to grout between your existing tile backsplash and the granite backsplash. We do our best to educate our customers on the installation process, which is why we include that information in our paperwork and re-state it several times throughout the process. Grouting between tile and backsplash is specifically addressed in the paperwork. You signed and initialed that you agreed to those terms at the time of the sale. You were given copies of everything to take home, and your sales associate asked that you read over the information and contact her with any questions or concerns. We also re-stated the same information in your measure paperwork that you also signed and initialed. Since we do not work in tile, our installation crews are not capable of grouting tile. This requires training specific to tile installation.

I was very happy with the timeline, price, and customer service of Surface Encounters. I have 2 complaints; 1 is a gouge in the underside of the countertops after installation about the size of a dime. I found the gouge before the installers left and they filled the spot but you can still feel it....

The work was outstanding and the finished product was beautiful. The crew showed up without the faucet we ordered and the final adjustment we received didn't seem correct. It was only after the crew left that I discovered that we were probably charged for back splashes we didn't order. I'm totally satisfied...

Overall I think I got a good quality product at a great price. Communication with scheduling was great. My rep was not as responsive. He did try to remedy some of the issues with that, but definitely could've been a little more communicative.

The sales clerk told me one thing & the scheduler (one evening BEFORE install) told me a totally different story as to what I should & shouldn't do in order to prepare...

The end result of my project is very nice. However, it took 5 weeks to have my small bathroom quartz counter installed AFTER the measure. I was told it would be more like 5-10 business days.

Everything was great and the peice of granite we recvd exceded our expectations. Looks amazing!!!! Everyone who came to the house was great. Just know their 2 week leadtime is actually around 4
