I had AA sidexside Construction, owned by Chris Steenbergen work on my house. I've paid in full and have pictures, e-mails and documents to back what I say. The contract promised two coats of paint and I was told verbally that the painter was his employee. In reality the painter was an ex-employee subcontracting as C H Painting. The painter told me he put on a heavy coat. The paint job was fast, sloppy, incomplete and they trashed my yard. I told Steenbergen that he owed me two proper and complete coats per contract and Sherwin Williams specifications. He had to scramble to find more paint and a second paint subcontractor. The contract also called for replacing some trim at the top of the chimney chase, just under the rain cap. The installers used the wrong size trim such that the flanges of the rain cap were now gapped. Instead of fixing the trim, they smashed the flanges down in an effort to make them lay flat. The flanges were now bowed and buckled. The installers had to use screws to try and hold the flanges down. After the siding work was done, the first painter started pressure washing. While pressure washing the entry way to the house, there was water spraying into the garage. Turns out his siding installers did not water proof or seal around the entry way. The new siding and trim had to torn off and proper waterproofing and flashing installed. To sum it up, Steenbergen presented a contract and verbal promises that appeared to justify the price of the contract. But once the contract was signed he cut corners and was caught. This is a short version of the problems.

It was a pleasure to work with them. We used them on a second small project, again.

AA Side X Side has done 2 homes for us. When we had our first home done to sell, 4 of our neighbors were so impressed with their work and professionalism, they also had their homes done as well. AA also did the home we moved into. They will do our next home when that time comes. I can't say enough about Chris and his team.
