They came in and cut out the floor that was damaged. They went beyond the area that was damaged and in order to do that, they had to remove a cupboard. When doing so, they didn't empty it or properly remove the countertop. They drug it across the good part of the room. When cutting the floor, they used a reciprocating saw and they didn't have a positive method of gauging the depth of the cut and in several areas they cut into the subfloor to the point it weakened it. Then they brought in 5 fans and a dehumidifier. 4 of the fans were spread out over the area cut out, remember that I said they cut out more than necessary. One of the fans was placed under the house and plugged into a fan inside the house. I was relocating the cord to the outside receptacle and when the cord wouldn't reach. I went to unwrap more cord from the fan and discovered that all the cord was used and the fan was located 10 feet from the area that was wet. Then they had a dehumidifier operation and the windows were open, another joke. With the excess fans and useless dehumidifier, the sound was deafening. OSHA would have required ear protection. I also received a copy of the invoice. It was not itemized and for the 7 hours of labor, I'll assume that the rental for equipment was excessive. They also discarded the baseboard so I needlessly had to replace it.
