Underfoot Design, Inc.

At Underfoot Design, Inc. our name states that we are concerned with what goes on under your feet. Yes, we are in the floor covering business and our tradition is based on superior installations.

Gaby Maalouf, our founder, started as an installer and developed a reputation as "the best" at installing carpet. The tradition continues today with sisal & seagrass, synthetic & wool carpet, unfinished or engineered wood, tile, cork and recently leather flooring.

Much of our business today is to the trade: decorators, designers and builders of fine homes who value quality work. Our homeowner projects are mostly referred clients.

Installers can sometimes leave a mess or create damage during a project. We are not in that camp. We find that if we tape corners (blue tape) we will not mar an expensive paint finish when bringing in a large, heavy roll of carpet into a room. We are careful around baseboards so a new paint job is not needed after an installation.

We work with the finest materials available in carpet (wool, silk, mohair, nylon...) and now have one of the best showrooms in Atlanta according to trade sources. Our business is also growing in wood, tile and other flooring products.
