Their work quality is excellent. I have several neighbors that have used them and everyone is very complimentary. For those reasons they are very busy. You will need to be patient in getting the job started and finished. The end result is well worth it.

I read so many good reviews about Carolina Exteriors, I really thought my house was in good hands. Instead, I found myself very frustrated with the process. I had a complete house siding project with Hardiplank. In the end, the new siding looks nice. There were some serious frustrations along the way. A few examples: 1. the siding crew completely removed the external air vent for my hot water heater, leaving me without hot water for 5 days. When I called a plumber to look at why my hot water heater wasn't working, he said they should never completely remove the external vent, it's not only a safety concern, but caused my heater to stop working. No one on the siding crew seemed the least bit concerned about this. 2. The siding crew removed an external bathroom vent and proceeded to cover up the vent with siding. When asked why there was an "extra" vent laying on the ground, no one seemed to know where it came from or why they hadn't replaced it. YOU CAN"T JUST COVER UP or REMOVE VENTILATION! 3. The siding crew was supposed to replace any rotten wood trim they found. Instead, they left several places with rotten wood trim and the painter either filled in the gaps with caulk and painted over it (THE WOOD IN THERE IS STILL WET AND ROTTEN!) or ignored it. They fixed one area that I pointed out before the final walk-around, but I didn't see another spot until a few days after the project was completed. So now I have a piece of rotten wood trim under my back door. It's clearly rotten. It looks rotten and feels soft to the touch. It was left, unmentioned, and unpainted, which seems very unprofessional. It would have been really nice to get that taken care of when they were here doing the project. 4. The siding crew cut my wooden fence and left it wobbly. Why did they cut through the fence post?? Why didn't they just unscrew it so they could work around it? It doesn't make any sense. 5. They made a lot of holes in the under-board while pulling off the old siding. It looks terrible in my garage where I can see it, and I know there are now holes in that under-board layer all around the house that are covered up with siding. It doesn't leave me with much confidence that I won't encounter future headaches and expenses as a result of this project. That said, whenever I found an issue (there were several other smaller issues along the way as well), I showed everything to Mark (my project manager) and he was very quick to have the issue fixed. But a lot of these things should never have happened in the first place.
Will I recommend Carolina Exteriors to anyone? No. Definitely not.

Well, considering it's been months without a resolution to the damage to my chimney from poor workmanship (my chimney cap was replaced incorrectly and leaked quite a bit-- as well as the area around the chimney where it meets the roof) I cannot give more than 1 star. My emails and texts now go unanswered. Water seeped into my living room and into my fireplace after the installation and damaged both areas. I sit here writing this still with this damage. I feel as though they've given up caring about the damage as they take weeks to respond to even an email, if they respond at all. They did come out and stop the leak, but it appears the resulting damage will be on me to pay to fix. I went with this company originally because they offered a teacher/1st responder discount. Sadly, it has unfolded into a situation where they just do not respond to me at all. The original leak in my chimney was finally repaired after much damage was done to my inside fireplace. I still have a bucket inside my chimney since nothing has been communicated to me about whether the area outside my chimney was repaired yet. They were going to just leave an area around my chimney damaged, but I paid for a chimney inspector to inspect it independently to determine what really needed to be fixed. That was months ago and this has still not been resolved. I'm so disappointed that I will now have to file against my own insurance to fix the damage in my chimney since no one will even respond to me. I know projects don't always go smoothly, but this has been a disappointment . This teacher gives this company a D-.

While everything was being installed, many of my neighbors did slow drive boy’s to observe and give a “thumbs up”. I would highly recommend Carolina Exteriors for the services they offer.

Everything is wonderful, except we were unhappy with the roofer. The edges of the shingles were very uneven and in places we did not have the inch overhang required. Had to have roofers back twice for the garage to get it right.

We are very pleased with the quality of the work and materials. The staff was more than flexible through every phase of the project, working with us on financing, scheduling, and so on. We paid a bit of a premium on price in exchange for not having to lift a finger to manage the project. With the exception of a few minor punch-list items that they readily addressed, we didn't have to chase them down to make things right.

We have been very pleased with our experience with Carolina Exteriors Plus from the initial meeting with Clifton to the final approval of work with Lewis White, our Project Manager. The superior products were what we had wanted and the installation, although delayed due to weather and Covid19 restrictions, was professional and well-done.
