The owner of a Raleigh home experienced water damage in his home due to a leaking pipe inside his wall leading to his icemaker box behind his refrigerator. The homeowner couldn’t see the signs of the leak until it was too late because of it being inside the wall. The water already spread through the walls, under many rooms of flooring, and down to the crawlspace. Our mitigation specialists responded right away and started removing unsalvageable materials while extracting any standing water. Our team removed layers of underlayment, hardwoods, kitchen cabinets, various trim, and more while moving/protecting the homeowner’s furniture/contents. After the dust-free demolition was complete of unsalvageable material, we deployed our high powered fans and dehumidifiers to save the salvageable materials. After three days of monitored drying, the home was dry and ready for rebuilding.
