Kitchen Remodel
Our client had a ranch home that had your typical load bearing wall that divided the kitchen and family room areas, and decided it was time for that old wall to go and obtain that open concept they had always yearned for. An engineered beam was spec'd along with some creative relocating of mechanical items, and away went the obtrusive wall! A new layout for the kitchen was designed by Gwen Adair and high end Dura Supreme Cabinetry along with a combination of quartz and natural granite counter tops were utilized to give this space was it truly deserved. Cherry wood was used for the main cabinets along the walls and then a quarter swan oak for the island to give some unique contrast. A wolf gas cooktop along with an island hood by Zephyr were sued for the main cooking area in the island while a combination of kitchenaid and samsung were used for the balance of the appliances. We were able to obtain the same flooring to patch in the areas where the wall once lived and really tie the new open floorplan together. Modern touches were utilized for the lighting, backsplash, and cabinet hardware which gave this look exactly what it was demanding.
