The representative I dealt with was very nice and they were willing to work with me. However, whoever comes to your house, be sure they are very thorough to avoid repeat trips out.
The manager began work before he received my signature on his release paperwork nor was he tenacious enough to have had brought it with him when he first showed. This is the same story when they left and picked up their gear, no release. I had to make a special trip to meet him both times.to meet and get a signature to him of which he called repeatedly to get. If it was so important wouldn't any bright person have it in hand when they see the client? NOT!His employees however were courteous and far more easy to deal with but any person can plainly see they have a script in their head to repeat to their clients so there is that.
Really great
Our encounter with 1-800 Water Damage after the hurricane was very calming by the way the rep came in and evaluated our damage and explained the process that needed to be done. When we had questions he called and came and was hands on with a solution or the explanation of how it had to take place.
The reason I wouldn't recommend them is not because of the crew. They broke a lot of stuff when they put my stuff in storage. I have tried calling them a few times and they won't return my call. I am not happy.
Hurricane Ian created a great amount of damage. To remedy our water damage, 1-800 Water Damage was contracted to assess and mitigate our damage and potential damage. The company performed its job professionally and adequately. My only real complaint is that, after removing drywall in ceilings, walls, and insulation, a simply barrier of thin plastic was stapled/taped in. It did not last long in SWF.
The company made several promises they weren't able to keep. They said they would find adequate temp-controlled storage versus throwing things into our garage. There were pieces that weren't able to be moved due to a lack of storage that had dust on them. We were told and assured the furniture would not be damaged. They brought in a crew from Texas that were temps. We had an issue with some things that went missing or were misplaced.
They were very professional, and they followed all federal and state local codes, to mitigate the damage. I would highly recommend them.
The best and most professional company in my experience. They conducted a detailed damage survey and provided highly skilled people to do the repairs. This company should be your first to call!David McKeePunta Gorda, Florida
They were very efficient. Once the insurance company and everyone got on the same page, they were certainly very efficient. In fact, they were out within a week after the hurricane to survey the water damage and what would be needed, which by far was faster than others in my neighborhood. The team in here did an excellent job at tearing out and rebuilding. Now I am just waiting on the sliding glass doors and windows. Those have to be made before they can put them in. The work itself was done very well and in a timely manner.
1-800 Water Damage made it much easier for me to get through the hurricane damage.
Never use this company. They are incompetent and damaging. They broke things, and threw things out without my permission. They dumped stuff on my neighbor's front yard. I could go on forever.
They destroyed my house.
I would not hire 1-800 Water Damage due to lack of quality of work and damaging someone's house.
They were very efficient and had a good team of workers.
They damaged a lot of my property when putting it in storage. I called them about it and no one has returned my call.
I am not likely to recommend them because we were mostly disappointed with the reading the gentleman got. He was looking for water damage through the readings on his meter. The walls were torn out, and there wasn't any water damage. Other than that, he was pretty good. Everything was torn out, and he had a brand-new meter, but it didn't seem to register and gave a false reading on most of the walls. There was something that wasn't right with the reading.
I thought the employees were very nice and courteous people. However, I think they have made some mistakes.
They were very thorough and worked very hard, taking the time to do a good job.
Very professional and smart crew helped rectify the problem, highly recommend them!
Everything was perfect, the company did everything they said, they were wonderful. When I approached them about the damage they caused to my garage door, I was told by Cody Bass, the owner, that he was not responsible for that. That is why they went from a perfect 10 to a 1.
After Hurricane Ian destroyed my roof which in flooding and severe water damage to the interior 1-800 Water Damage did a fantastic job removing the water in the house. They were professional throughout process.
1-800 Water Damage - HQ has some of the best people I have ever dealt with.
They were helpful, understanding, and always available to answer questions. I was happy with the services they provided.
They treated me right. The insurance company paid for everything, but they did well and treated me right.
They came in, checked out the house and determined what was needed. They came back and put in all the equipment and told me how long it would take for everything to be completed and dried out. Everything they said was done, and they moved out quickly. It was fast and professional.
1-800 Water Damage were a good company to work with. The people were helpful, gave good recommendations, and were thorough They were easy to contact, and speak with. I had no issues with the process.
Our Water Abatement Field Agent, Shazad was phenomenal. He came in, accessed the situation, and served as a liaison between us and the insurance company to make things right. We had a large claim. Things were not moving until Shazad stepped in. I can't say enough good things about Shazad. His humanity was evident!
The representative I worked with, Shazey, was amazing. He made it as easy for me as possible. I was stressed out and didn't know what to do next, but he handled everything for me. He kept in touch, let me know what he was going to do next and what I would do next. He stayed on top of everything.
I am very satisfied with their work. The house was really clean afterward, it was really nice. They cleaned up really well.
They were very professional. Everything was done to a T. It was a perfect experience.
Shawn and Jennifer were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. They didn't do anything without checking with the insurance company first, which was wonderful.
They did a great job. Cris was excellent in communicating with. I was with them for 2 days solid. No complaints.
In the midst of dealing with a hurricane loss, we were very pleased with the response from 1-800-water damage. The employees were efficient, respectful, polite & did an excellent job of assessing the water damage, removing all sheetrock & materials, sprayed chemicals, added equipment & monitored progress of the area affected and cleaned up afterwards. A Positive experience.
Chad, Scott, and their crew were wonderfully professional.
This company is worse than a nightmare. They didn't pack out furniture and boxes, blocking the contractor's access to ripped out rooms. They were carefully packing my breakable valuables, and my husband overheard the supervisor telling the pack out crew to just throw items in boxes without care for breakage or damage. They deposited piles of water damaged items in plastic bags on my lawn and on my neighbor's lawn. At the same time the parked large pods on my lawn and driveway, blocking an industrial waste truck from being used by the rip out crew. They also placed a fourth pod in the street, blocking traffic. My lawn is dead, my gardens were used as trash bins and cups, food containers, water jugs were thrown into my gardens. They stole extension cords and broke the wheels on my file cabinets. The boxes containing liquids had items thrown into them, without checking if the caps and lids had been screwed on tightly. More items were damaged in the boxes containing liquids by spillage from the unsecured lids.
These houses have to be put back together again. They shouldn't go in and start tearing everything out. Someone that builds houses for a living would know how to properly tear things out. They just started cutting the sheetrock. They didn't cut it in the center, or near the studs. I hated seeing them tear stuff up, that didn't have to be torn up. They also broke some of my tiles.
They were so professional, and kind in a very upsetting situation. They made that part of the recovery process that much better.
They were fast, professional, and easy to work with.
Team was awesome, and respectful. Everything that was messed up from the hurricane was cleaned up and dried out. If I ever need them water mitigation again they will be the first company I call.
1-800 Water Damage sent competent and efficient water mitigation workers to my home after the hurricane. The workers were friendly and made sure that I was satisfied with their work. Excellent job!
John was very educated and did a wonderful job.
They did a first-rate job. They found damage I didn't know existed. If they had not found it, we would have had major problems down the road.
I had a guy come out. I was out of town. He was recommended by my insurance company. He gave me a proposal, which I had to beg for. He said he didn't want to do that because he was directly dealing with the insurance company. We talked about totally gutting the house. When he got in there, he didn't think it needed to be gutted. Then, my adjuster came out and said it needs to be gutted. There was something I didn't understand about the mitigation program, so we kind of argued about a few things. The most egregious thing he did was he broke off my shut-off valve. He called and said, "You don't have any shut-off valves in this house." My plumber came back once I got back in town after being evacuated. He said, "You had shut-off valves. He must have broken them." In between me getting a plumber in there, I had a guy trying to pressure wash, so water got in my house again because he had broken all of my shut-off valves. I would not recommend them. Maybe some of their other contractors work better than the one I had, but the one I had was bad.
Chad and Bruce were great. They explained everything they were doing and communicated as needed.
Very knowledgeable helpful friendly people. Excellent job guys!!! Thanks !!!
We were pleased with the work they did.
Stacey was very nice and kept in good contact with us.
Cody and Stacy were awesome! They helped our family make it thru an extremely difficult situation. Their knowledge, professionalism, empathy, and efficiency was paramount. They are definitely an A team and a true blessing!
They did a great service for me and my house. Very quality service.
