The electronic monitoring is constantly malfunctioning and being installed incorrectly, as it continues to fail to detect movement even though mice are being caught in the traditional snap traps.

Cost is reasonable. Technician is very thorough and knowledgeable about work. He is also professional and personable.
American Pest carefully sprayed the entire outside of the house. Im pointed out that thqt one of ther interior window sills had been chewed by termites but that was no longer happening.
We rarely see the technician who is supposed to check for areas where pests might enter the house, clean spider webs, etc. this was done on the first visit but I haven’t seen this done subsequently.
I used to feel more positively about American Pest, but changes over the last few years have dimmed my view. When I first started I had the same technician each time, or nearly each time. He was always always crisply uniformed including cap and presented himself at the door with his indoor equipment ready to check out my basement. I can never fault the quality of the work no matter who the technician is, but I miss the proof that the technician takes pride in his job and how he helps people.
Most recently, the technician sauntered up my driveway, no cap or bag and came to my door. This time I had not requested an indoor visit because my family had recently come down with Covid. I put on a mask, opened the door slightly and quickly explained. He was not masked and he literally jerked backwards. Perhaps I am reading too much into it, but seemed to step a little livelier after receiving that news.
As I said earlier, when I have needed pest help I have always received it.

I was a Capitol Pest customer for more than a year and had a generally good experience. I've found the quality, responsiveness, and thoroughness of service significantly reduced since the company's merger with American Pest.
I've been using Capital Pest for years, and was always satisfied. Recently the company changed to American Pest. The work is still satisfactory, however, I received a notice that my bill will increase by 15%. That is unacceptable and I will be looking for a new company with a better price.
I was expecting more involvement, not just coming to install something and that was it.
American Pest came and did what they were supposed to do. I followed him around, and he talked to me about what he was doing. He used some steel wool and then did some spraying. I thought he did a great job.
