Ammirato Construction provide top quality work, with easy clear communication and lots of support/explanations for clients. We've done three projects with them (2 small, one large) and have been incredibly happy with the results each time. John Ammirato was especially helpful in the design phase, coming up with creative solutions that met our needs while maintaining code compliance.

We used Ammirato Construction earlier for our kitchen remodel and were very happy with the execution of the project. We now used them again for a bathroom extension from a half to full bath and are again very happy on how the project was conducted and how nice it worked out. The entire team, including subcontractors, was very professional and skilled. John has an extraordinary extension to detail and a great capability to find solutions for difficult design challenges. He makes sure that things work out perfectly. He, our project manager Matt, and the designer Nicole formed a well functional team and we now have a beautiful new bathroom. The office where space was taken away from looks now better than before as they managed to match our rounded ceiling perfectly. We were also very happy with the clear and timely communication.

I found the discussions with Ammirato to be very helpful in confirming my ideas in many cases, but they also added design and functionality advice that I had not considered. When construction uncovered an unexpected, dangerous existing problem (as can happen with remodels), Ammirato made sure we were safe and they addressed the problem quickly without it affecting the schedule. We bought a long neglected home in Los Gatos and Ammirato Construction handled the entire project, inside and outside. Our job was extensive, a complete gut down to the studs and including a new roof and windows, relocated kitchen, three remodeled bathrooms, a newly designed entry, completely new exterior, etc. It was a massive undertaking. John’s crew was always onsite by 8am and were dedicated to quality workmanship. The jobsite was kept impeccably clean and that was truly appreciated by our neighbors as we were not living there during the majority of the work. The attention to detail is amazing and John and his project manager were always available to talk through issues and changes as we progressed. They are both very current on the latest technologies with regard to homes and we appreciated that as we incorporated several interesting concepts in our home. John has a terrific eye for design and was personally responsible for creating our new entry staircase (an entire flight off the driveway), a floating countertop with undermount lights in a bathroom, and an incredible modern fireplace that is made of composite tiles on all four sides and stands 20-feet tall. Because we were so pleased with the work done on our home, we hired Ammirato Construction to manage our outdoor project as well. This included: a series of retaining walls, an outdoor kitchen with trellis and plumbing, a custom gas firepit with trellis, irrigation, extensive outdoor lighting and sound both of which are controlled by an app on our phones, regrading the property to create a sloping walkway to the new ipe deck, a 300-foot pathway up the steep incline to the top of our property and a patio at the top with access to water and wifi. Another huge undertaking, but again, John and his team demonstrated their engineering skills, and ability to keep on a timeline and budget.Needless to say, our neighbors were very curious to see our new home as they watched its transformation from the street. We welcome anyone considering using Ammirato Construction to come to see our home as a testament to John’s pride in his work.

They did a really good job with that and the crawl space doors and cabinets for the electrical box. Everything they did looked great, the only issue was the crown molding in my bathroom.
