Tom and Nancy's dedicated interest in every detail of our home addition and commitment to our complete satisfaction several years ago led me to reach out to Tom to help solve a problem with my backyard drainage. All I expected was a referral to his subcontractor but instead Tom made a point of coming to our home, investigating the problem, and arranging for a team to work under his direct supervision to ensure that the right fix was implemented. And then he followed up for a few weeks after each rainstorm to ensure everything was fine. I will recommend Artistic Design to our friends because Artistic Design is a friend themselves.

Artistic Design Build did a great job renovating our unfinished basement and adding a bathroom.  They went above and beyond our expectations for timeliness and responsiveness for the project.  I would highly recommend them for your home renovation needs.

I would recommend Artistic Design Build without hesitation. Given all of the horror stories I heard from colleagues, I had a lot of jealous colleagues. When I say how the experience went, one colleague said I was truly in “contractor heaven”!

Design - I loved the way that Tom and Nancy worked together and with me. The experience valued my ideas and needs with the reality of the space and my budget.

Overall, we are very happy with the work that was completed. The entire process could have been a little easier if there was a greater effort placed on some of the cosmetic details and cleanliness of the work site.

Clean - We found ourselves cleaning up various work spaces after workers left throughout the project. Also, I think more follow-up requests could have been avoided if work was performed with less mess.

Safe - There were a couple of times where dust was not contained as well as we would have liked.

Yes, we had Artistic Design Build replace our roof. Tom, the owner, went to our insurance company and presented facts as to why the roof should be replaced. As an average homeowner who only deals with insurance companies once every 10 years, I could not have gotten full roof replacement without Tom's assistance.

Additional Comments - I have used Artistic Design on a total of 5 projects at our home over a 16 year period. The fifth project, a kitchen addition was just completed prior to Thanksgiving so the team was able to get us in the space, completely finished, up and fully functional. That was a great accomplishment by all and well done.

Areas For Improvement - The quality of the sub-contractor who was the site manager - he did not communicate effectively, and made many unnecessary mistakes that caused delays. He could not seem to remember instructions from the previous day. He also neglected to close off my HVAC intake vents before sanding floors, so that every corner of the entire house was covered in fine dust, which triggered severe asthma and required my family to move out for 2-3 weeks until the job as completed.
