Tom and Nancy's dedicated interest in every detail of our home addition and commitment to our complete satisfaction several years ago led me to reach out to Tom to help solve a problem with my backyard drainage. All I expected was a referral to his subcontractor but instead Tom made a point of coming to our home, investigating the problem, and arranging for a team to work under his direct supervision to ensure that the right fix was implemented. And then he followed up for a few weeks after each rainstorm to ensure everything was fine. I will recommend Artistic Design to our friends because Artistic Design is a friend themselves.

Overall, we are very happy with the work that was completed. The entire process could have been a little easier if there was a greater effort placed on some of the cosmetic details and cleanliness of the work site.

Clean - We found ourselves cleaning up various work spaces after workers left throughout the project. Also, I think more follow-up requests could have been avoided if work was performed with less mess.

The fifth project, a kitchen addition was just completed prior to Thanksgiving so the team was able to get us in the space, completely finished, up and fully functional. That was a great accomplishment by all and well done.

Areas For Improvement - The quality of the sub-contractor who was the site manager - he did not communicate effectively, and made many unnecessary mistakes that caused delays. He could not seem to remember instructions from the previous day. He also neglected to close off my HVAC intake vents before sanding floors, so that every corner of the entire house was covered in fine dust, which triggered severe asthma and required my family to move out for 2-3 weeks until the job as completed.

We were very happy with the original project - an artist studio/garage on the back of our house. Once finished with that project, we were very happy and looked at a kitchen/family room expansion remodel. They worked with us and advised agaiinst building because of the high cost/low benefit of the project. That showed great integrity to us. I really like working with a design/build company. Previously, we had worked with an architect and we would have to pay the architect before we knew if we could afford the project. With a design/build company like Artistic Design Build, they gave us a rough sketch and an estimate which cost us nothing. Once we approved, they drew up the plans and executed the project.
