Joseph and Vera Binns emigrated from Great Britain to Canada in 1957 and started Binns kitchen + bath design. At first Joseph and Vera ran the company from their Scarborough, Ontario home until they had enough business to have an office and showroom facilities. Vera looked after the office work while Joseph did the estimating and coordination of the trades.
The company was established in 1963 and is now proudly celebrating its 53th anniversary. Today the family firm is under the guidance of Raymond Binns, Beverley Binns, and Keith Binns. Raymond is President, Beverley is Creative Director, and Keith is Director of Business Development. Raymond still has the same goal his parents had, which is to provide a quality service that is second to none!
Binns now has two locations and third generation family members working for the company. The Binns family is proud that the reputation of Binns was built upon referrals by thousands of satisfied clients. He listened, visited the site several times and finally presented a design that wowed us (actually, the whole world I should say) all. It is definitely an award winning design - WAY BEYONG OUR EXPECTATIONS!!!

Beverley Binns has transformed our old, outdated and awkward kitchen into a stylish and functional room with a beautiful view into our garden. We have worked with a few trades and contractors throughout our main floor renovation and Binns has out-shined many of the people we have met during this process: a thorough understanding of our vision for this kitchen, seeing improvement beyond the standard (e.g. closing 2 windows that were facing our neighbour and opening a large window to our backyard. Though costly, it is one of the main features why we love our kitchen so much), a professional eye for design (our friends think we have a kitchen out of a magazine - and we agree!), very detail oriented (Beverley Binns), on time and they have the friendliest installers (Brian). Wonderful service from a wonderful company!

Areas Of Satisfaction - Martin's design ideas and advice were terrific and the team solved some intriguing problems in our space (e.g., the Habitat for Humanity people doing the demolition cut away too much of our walls when removing an old counter top and the Binns team needed to find a way to disguise the bad cuts). Everyone we worked with, including the contractors, were very pleasant and accommodating. There was no bad attitude or complaining.

Lead Source - Our townhouse neighbours had their kitchen renovated by Binns just as we were making our decision to go ahead with plans to renovate. Their layout was identical to ours. We chose Binns based on the quality we saw in their kitchen and their praise for Binn's designer and project management.

Lead Source - Who in our area has not heard of Binns? I had often driven by their location and wondered if I could ever afford a Binns Kitchen or Bath Design.

Additional Comments - I hate to say that it took more than 10 years for us to finally renovate the kitchen and main floor powder-room area. We love the new look and I am wondering if I can someday get them to also work their magic on my other bathrooms. A person can only keep dreaming-maybe someday!!
