Additional Comments - We were so blessed to have worked with Roy and his wonderful team of professionals to make our kitchen renovation run smoothly and timely from start to finish, especially during an untimely trying time in our life. Since we moved into our starter home in 1980, it became apparent it would be our forever home. We’d been planning since then to do a total renovation of our tiny 1965 kitchen, but there were so many obstacles. In the 80's, we updated it some, but it just wasn’t working anymore, and being situated in the middle of the house posed a huge design challenge affecting 4 rooms. We thought we were stuck with the original layout, but Roy gave us three options, and the third one KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF and gave us a kitchen we never thought could be possible. The Bryhn team was such a pleasure to work with. Randy answered all our questions and kept things running smoothly and on time. Rena helped us pull everything together with color and design elements to match our vision for the new space, and we are so grateful for all her suggestions. The Crew, what can we say? Rob, Chris, Dane, and David—from demolition to finish product—what a great job! They took what was on paper and made it a reality with a professional eye for every detail. True artists of the trade. We now have the kitchen we’ve always envisioned but didn’t think was possible, and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! What a transformation! Thank you to you all; it was an absolute pleasure to work with such a great group of people.

My experience with Bryhn Design/Build was extremely positive. The design process was very collaborative and Roy had a lot of great ideas for my renovation. It was great to see all of the renovations come to life with their 3D design program. I was able to really get a sense of what the house would ultimately look like. The original estimate that I was given at the start was very close to the actual budget. All questions were answered in a timely manner. Once I had approved the designs, the reno started soon after. Whenever I visited the site, it was always kept very clean and organized. I liked the contractor and he responded to questions and concerns in a timely manner. As most projects go, the renovation took a bit longer than planned but that was mainly due to waiting on materials and not from Bryhn.

Professional & Organized - Bryhn is a very professional company. By using Buildingtrend, I was able to stay on top of all of the details and understand where we were in the budget. It also kept the decision making organized.

Construction Quality

Construction Quality - Overall, I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. From the beautiful kitchen cabinets, the new wood floors that match the original wood floors, the raising of the ceiling in the living room, the new bathroom, etc., I am very happy with all of the materials and workmanship. And Bryhn was very responsive to any questions/concerns I had about the work, making fixes if needed.

Problem Resolution - During the job, there were a few issues that came up. Bryhn would lay out all of the issues and have options to resolve. I really appreciate being given the resolution, not just hearing there is a problem.

Roy designed a sunroom for my house and it surpassed our expectations. This second job was three phases and he and his team, Randi, Rob and other professionals coordinated the work fantastically. They kept me informed of everything being done and completed the work in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone and when I have another job to do I will call them.

We were looking to expand our ranch house for an open floor plan. Roy met with us to determine how best to meet our idea and created a perfect design! He and his team worked with us to determine our style from the exterior choices to tile, fixtures etc. Rena, his interior designer, was wonderful in helping us choose all! Roy's entire team were all so pleasant to work with. All of the work from Roy's extended team ( excavator, electrician, plumber, hvac, framer, siding) was meticulously done.

We had an excellent experience with Bryhn. They exceeded our expectations at every level. We could not be more pleased with the outcome of our project.

Overall wonderful experience. Very transparent about costs, down to every line item in the budget. Worked hard to stay in the budget, and was willing to go above and beyond, starting with permiting with a very finicky township and down to the final touches.

Roy designed my sunroom with a basement and made changes without any conflict, and everything went smoothly. I would recommend them to anyone.

Overall, my experience with Bryhn was excellent. Roy worked with me on the remodel design and contracting, Randy helped with the details around change orders and invoicing, Rena provided design consultation for all the purchases and overall look of the finished spaces, Chris was an exceptional project manager, and all the subcontractors were great. I really don't have a negative in this experience; I love the finished space! I am now looking forward to having the final phase completed, which is the new flooring :)

Easier Than Expected

Easier Than Expected - I expected it to run smoothly and it did.

Our first floor had a very tiny full bath with awkward layout and at one time I had a contractor look at and he didn't think it was possible to expand. Overtime the idea to expand the bathroom grew stronger but not yet serious. I randomly posted a remodel request on Zillow. Rena from Bryhn Design contacted me and she arranged a phone meeting to discuss my potential project with both Rena and architect/owner Roy. They were up front with me that my budget set in my Zillow request was not too realistic and expressed their interest to take on the project. I believe it must be the sincerety and the confidence from them persuaded me to take chance with Bryhn Design. Well, we made a good decision. Roy's design totally blew us away completely. We end up getting a decent sized full bath suite to our existing guest room and an additional powder room within our limited floor space which is beyond our imagination. Rena presented us the flooring materials, furniture and accessory choices and we liked all her suggestions. She has a great taste in interior design. The crew who carried Roy's design into reality is also amazing. Chad who lead the construction has been informative and responsive. The construction zone has always been kept neat after each day of work. With the pandemic going on, we are fortunate to have another place to stay in order to get the project going after a pause. Now it's nearly completed and we love our new space. Thanks our entire team in Bryhn Design to make our dream come true.
