We received three bids, with each company competent to do the work. We selected Gibson Roofing above the others primarily due to our very positive experience with Josh Gibson, who developed the Gibson Roofing proposal. Of the three, Josh Gibson listened carefully to what we were saying and the Gibson Roofing proposal was carefully tailored to our requests and concerns. Since we are in the Pacific Northwest, one of our concerns was air flow and venting. The Owens Corning roof system installed by Gibson Roofing has effective ridge venting and other venting options that are important for our climate zone. I might mention that Josh Gibson appears a bit younger than he is - don't be put off by that, he has excellent knowledge of roofing and roofing materials and options and is very bright and quick in catching what you are saying and in responding with a great proposal.

Nice enough people, but I’m still finding pieces of sharp metal and nails in my backyard. There’s a random nail up on the roof. I mentioned the sharp metal to the lady I was working with. They sent a a clean up guy the day after the job was completed and they still missed a lot. They knew I have dogs, so it’s really not that great.

Gibson Roofing provided good communication. They did a good job, were quick, and had very fair pricing.

The roof looks great and we were very impressed with the builder's professionalism. They really know what they are doing! The roof was originally projected to take about 3.5 days, but only ended up taking 1.5 days! This is such a relief to have!

-Gibson Roofing has come back three times to fix several issues I found after install. The workmanship was below average. -Installation crew left 50+ nails/staples and roofing debris all around the home. Children and pet danger.-Water heater flashing not installed correctly. Not to code. -Water heater venting touching combustible wood and HVAC vent. This would of caused a fire if I didn't discover.-Ceiling drywall was damaged from delivery of roofing material. Roofers where not careful placing material on roof. -I'm still not happy and not sure if my roof was installed correctly with all the issues found.-I wouldn't recommending Gibson Roofing to friends or family.-The only piece of mind I have is buying the warranty with Owens Corning.

Josh provided my initial roof quote. He was knowledgeable and helpful. He responded to my communications in a timely fashion. Over all, Gibson Roofing from my experience is an honest company that will provide a quality roof for your home.

They were highly professional and performed per the agreement.

We were very impressed with how the outcome came out. Any questions we had, they were knowledgeable, any concerns we had, they fixed them right away. The only thing I had an issue with, was they didn't call me to schedule when they were going to do the roof. They just scheduled it themselves. We were kind of expected to go around that. They called out of the blue and said we were going to start this day and you need your vehicles out on this day. We had a trailer and we didn't know where to put it. There was a lack of communication.

They really wanted the job- they kept checking on us and giving us design plans to make sure we understood what they were going to do to the roof until we ultimately picked them. Its a family owned business and they sold us on the Corning technology and value for our money. The roof got a real test week after completion when a nasty thunderstorm came through and passed...big thing I noticed was how the water ran better off the roof than before.
