Mike was fantastic as a PM. In my current job, i deal with a fair amount of PMs. Mike is at the top of my list. He was on time, called me every week, sent fotos, answered all questions. OUTSTANDING!!!
Greentech has been amazing to work with. My custom home was completed on time and I was given updates twice a week on progress. My new home is beautiful and exceeded my expectations.
Everyone at Greentech was great at communicating throughout the whole process. I always felt informed and listened to
A quality company driven by highly qualified and motivated professionals that build really great homes.
Communication throughout has been superb
The overall process has been a smooth one and the home was finished on the date originally promised.
Tough ti get warranty items taken care of. No response is the norm.
Great sales staff who listened to my home needs and price point.
Lindsay Callaway was excellent. She made the process really easy and had some excellent suggestions as we were going through the process.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had when building and buying a home. As someone who has moved quite a bit with work, this is my fourth house built and 7th move. I will never use or recommend Greentech to anyone. My wife is a real estate agent and we are going to do all we can to spread the word. Although, the ironic part is, everyone we have told about our horrible experience, has heard or experienced the same thing. Including the seven neighbors I have met so far. Absolutely pitiful and the worst company and builders ever.
I would recommend Greetech based on the excellent overall experience.
Overall, the quality of the design, products used, neighborhood plan, has been a reason to use Greentech. In terms of whether the contractors being skilled workmen, I hesitate. We did not see as much eye to detail, appreciation of doing a job well, or caring about finishing well. We understand mass production and the need for larger numbers of workers, however the communication barriers, which may be real or not, seem to allow for cutting corners. We did like seeing some local vendors for parts of the build as we believe in buying local.(could be a great marketing position for a local builder). We liked having the "Mike update" weekly. He maintained loyalty to Greentech while being available to assure us he was working towards our needs.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the concrete "mishaps" we had with the home. Granted the blob of concrete we have beside the steps from the garage into the home is not seen by anyone except us, however now we have to rectify somehow. The extra concrete we have beside the front door has been nicely covered up but it never should have been. The steps and mud-pour of our pad to the front door was also rectified, and never should have happened.
We built our first home with another builder in town and didn’t have a very good experience at all. Our experience with Greentech so far has been so amazing and 100% better than our previous builder. The communication has been amazing and I would absolutely recommend Greentech to everyone!
The moment we entered the Farmstead and walked around with Scott Thompson we knew that this was our future home!
At this moment I would recommend them but we are only in the beginning stages. So I’d like to reserve my recommendations until after my home is built and I get a real feel for the company and the quality of their work. But with that being said Kate in the sales dept is amazing as well as Anna in the design dept. They both are quickly to respond to any questions or concern my husband and I have. It has been a lot of fun thus far. Especially because of Kate and Anna. If your going with a Green tech build I’d definitely recommend both of these ladies to help you with that side of your build.
Kate J.
The workmanship and uniqueness of the build was very much to our liking. We were pleased with the extra touches they gave attention to. We like the extra little spaces that pop up in the kitchen and entryway.
Very slow to follow through to get things done on warranty work. Have to contact Melinda many times to get an answer and still don’t have any answers for our 1 year items that need doing. No one has shown up or contacted us. This is not what was promoted in all your lead up to purchasing our home.
We came with our daughter to look at Farmstead. We loved the houses. We really weren’t looking to purchase a lot, but at the time Lauren told us about the second phase they would be starting soon. She was very helpful, letting us know what would be available.
4* only because we have not gone through the whole process yet. Otherwise, we are pleased.
We can’t really run our sprinklers bc it makes our water bill outrageous. It would be nice if we could have had an ag meter. We have a small yard already and would never use comcast when Chattanooga has EPB, why the hell would you let them come in and dig up everyone’s yard and put ugly boxes that we will never use that just take up more space? Also, everytime, we have tried to get something fixed on our warranty list they just have to come back three times to do it right. And one of us has to take off of work for this every time. It’s very frustrating. It’s been a year and we still haven’t gotten the small list finished. David has been great, but that’s all I can say really bc we’ve been disappointed by the rest of the work.
Every step of the way was truly great. Scott was the first person we met with and he was super professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Anna helped us during the design process and was very patient while we made our selections and was a great help with her design expertise. We came in once when Anna wasn't available and received help from Lindsay and were treated as though we had been working with her from the start. She helped us work through a problem we had with the tile availability and was very helpful and spent a lot of time to make it right. Then we were handed off to Wesley who was great to deal with, friendly, helpful and always responsive to quality concerns. When Wesley was called to another site Jake took over, and was also professional and knowledgeable. Every quality concern I had throughout the process was taken seriously and was always corrected without any question whatsoever. I am very happy with Greentech and will absolutely be recommending them to friends and family.
Great communication, done timely and well with very few, small, and expected niggles to sort out at closing; which they promptly fixed!
It would be easy to recommend you guys as the process has been great so far. It is a bummer I missed the 50% on the 30k.
The design process was great, so many options and already included standard features. I appreciate we get to somewhat customize our house.
Positive experience throughout the process of purchase/design/build. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, professional.
Yes
Greentech offers many different viable options in the midst of a challenging building environment and economy. They do so while also paying attention to varying demographics and their needs. It seems they are doing their homework!
In 2019 I built a new home with Lennar in Estella Mountain Ranch, 15 miles southwest of Phoenix. They are a fabulous builder, and their level of build quality was awesome. It's against that backdrop of that I'm having to gauge against, so that makes it tougher to score. In this particular region of the country Lennar had an advantage because they don't have dirt, they have rock, sand and grit. That means that during a build it's easier to keep clean as construction advances. Tougher to do out here in TN, plus all the dirt that had to be moved on our build as well.
In spite of that, the level of build here was quite good and I don't see any fatal flaws relative to the structure. So, if a friend of mine found a Greentech home they were interested in, I wouldn't have a problem recommending that house to them.
shotty workmanship, terrible trim work if not for caulking the gaps would be terrible
Best builder I have ever worked with. Very detail oriented.
I was given mis-information at the very beginning of the process. I would have appreciated the sale’s process telling me they did not know something versus saying certain things were available when they were not.
Thus far Greentech Homes has address the noted issue found with our new build.
These homes are beautifully constructed inside and out.
Everyone has been amazing and accommodating! Answered all of my questions and helped in anyway they could.
Having just completed the design phase of our home we are surprised at the thorough, clear and quick responses as we make these life rewarding choices. This is our second home, that we opted to have built, and the service and dedication of each individual has been exceptional comparatively. The process envelopes the customer in a tight communication system that provides a clear and focused timeframe with each step laid out and at hand. Green tech seems to have the finest staff in the proper place to create our forever home.
You guys lied to us on our contract about the 2 retention ponds , literally wrote they would be filled before closing and then said you can’t do it and we’re stuck in our contract. Horrible way to do business. Jeremy in sales blatantly lied to us. Also Greentech guaranteed mosquito service after closing - another lie. They never showed up or provided treatment. This was also written in our contract.
I always say to my friends, who by the way love my house, that I love my house and my community but the hassle of the construction is something I don’t wish anyone would have to deal with….
We love our Downing Floorplan. Right size, right design. Our home is well executed in an amazing neighborhood. We chose right with GreenTech and the Farmstead. This home was worth the wait.
We have received excellent warranty service through Greentech’s David McGowan. He is very responsive and does great work!
No, I will not recommend GreenTech to No one.
The warranty work is a HUGE hassle still waiting on things to get fixed that were keyed in February?????? So, no I would not recommend.
I would give 5 stars, however it’s a bit too soon. I need to see how everything plays out.
Good so far
We have already started recommending and we haven't even started the build. The process so far has been extremely smooth. I'm confident the rest of our build will be as amazing and organized. Standard and upgraded options are really good, I feel like you could get a very large range of styles to fit within the options. The standard options seem better than builder grade to me. Looking forward to living in our home!
Kate has been awesome and we have already referred friends that are building with Greentech.
Since we signed our contract, we have already referred Greentech Homes to three different friends.
The sale was very promising and very aspirational. The intake process would get 5 stars. The design team was very accommodating, very sympathetic, and empathetic to a buyers needs. The execution process, development build team, and project management falls apart. There was a lack of oversight, inconsistency, and quality control. I could not recommend them at this point to anyone unless they are willing to deal with a lot of hassle and self servicing done by themselves. I cannot depend on the warranty team to follow through on what they said in a timely manner or based on what is expected.
The design and materials used were great. The execution at the end of the process was questionable
Overall, I would recommend Greentech but would level set expectations.
