Easy. They just make it easy. They keep me informed.
We are extremely pleased with our home. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because of the extreme inconvenience of the new homeowner experience during the building of new homes.
Hannah was so incredible with her communication. She made sure to send confirmations and follow ups prior to our warranty work day. If we had a question, she was quick to respond or contact the correct person with the answer. She was at our home to oversee the work and I appreciated that so much!!
Our project manager, Wesley Swift was extremely responsive and great to work with. Made things go smoothly and easy. Anytime there was an issue. He responded quickly and made sure it was taken care of. They have calls with you every Thursday to discuss the progress of where you are and what is left to do which really put your mind at ease. We’ve built houses with other builders over the years, and this was by far the best experience.
Park in front of our home is incomplete and poorly designed. No response to our reports of flooding. Poor communication as to progress of development as a whole. Home owners can only guess and speculate, leading to poor morale and no confidence in developers. Many talk of leaving once they can sell their home.
Still in the early process.
Lauren Nash was great guiding us through the structural options. Looking forward to working on the design options!
Everyone was very conscientious and helpful.
Overall we love our home. We liked the options you had for design and the ability to go look at homes in process for design help and ideas. We definitely would caution somebody when building with you though due to some of the things that came up. I wish we had been a bit more inquisitive and questioning on some things. Things we were surprised on are the houses are right on top of one another. We assumed based on the previous phase in the neighborhood we would have a bit more space between houses, but it was not pointed out and we did not catch that they crammed these in right on top of one another. This also reflects on yard space. The lots are very small for the house size and results in very tiny yards. We also found it extremely shady that they sprung an HOA on us and we only found it on closing paperwork even though it has clearly been in process since the beginning of when our build actually started. They were not going to tell us at all. We also had poor communication on closing. We were notified in November our closing was going to be over 60 days early and our PM had no idea of this communication as he was sure it would take extra weeks. It seemed very chaotic at the end and almost like the management just wanted to force us to close without it being finished. This did not seem to be PM choice.
Nice construction with quality
This was my first time working with a builder. I was both overwhelmed and underwhelmed. I've heard, "it could be a lot worse" from a lot of people, and of course, it could be, but there are some things I am really disappointed in -- no HVAC in a half bath, cabinet sliding shelves that won't slide out, despite a couple of fixes, paint on all surfaces, from carpet to fake woods to tile, despite 2 clean-ups and a blue tape walk. Things on the blue tape walk not completed.
Hard to give a review on this as we haven’t finished yet.
Every single member of the GreenTech team was kind, helpful and accommodating.
I have too many issues to even begin to explain.
Greentech Homes has very bad communication.
The company was quick to respond to concerns and their floor plans were some of the best I’ve seen in our price range. However, finalizing the completion of our home was met with poor planning and the need to meet a deadline. Please see final comments.
This home building process has been extremely easy this go around. My friends would be pleased as a result of our recommendations.
My husband and I have built several houses. My experience with Greentech has not been positive.
Overall it has been a positive experience working with Greentech. Sales (Scott) and Warrantee representative (Hannah) were responsive and very nice to work with. Under needs improvement: The construction project manager (Wes) and venders working on the new homes adjacent to ours after ours was completed did not care about us. Wes was a Jekyll and Hyde personality and was nice some days and rude to us at other times. As time passed he became unresponsive to our concerns. He made promises, followed through on some but not others. For example: He promised our front lawn on the edge of the property adjacent to us would be repaired with new sod after it was damaged in the construction process by a dumpster that sat there for several weeks. When construction was nearing completion, I texted him to remind him. He responded no worries he will take care of it. Construction completed and it was not repaired. I sent him another text with pictures. “Crickets” He ignored the text and the lawn was not repaired. We went through hell for 6 months with constant noise at all hours of the day and night and vehicles blocking our driveway all the time. Everyday I had to go out and ask the workers to move their vehicles so we could get in and out of our driveway. In my opinion he could have done a better job proactively managing the workers so we did not have to constantly ask them several times a day to move their vehicles.
Lots of bad quality issues still not resolved
We have yet to see the finished product, so i will withhold my rating. The team so far has been great though so this rating is solely on the design and sales team ONLY.
This is sharing as Melinda, but this is actually from Emily and how the process was for me.
I am so impressed with the attention to details, customer service and follow up with everyone I’ve dealt with so far. I look forward to the build process to begin!
Quality lower than expected, especially on some of add ons ie chef package windows not the best, Need to get other house plans besides the Oxford as it was used way too much as only. One fitting that category spacing between homes slightly wider would be nicer
The entire team was professional, friendly and engaging. They always worked to to help me get the best home that fit my needs. They made a very difficult process easy and pleasant.
I would recommend Greentech. We were met with patience and support as this was our first home buying experience. We found that the more involved in the process you are, the greater the payoff with Greentech.
poor attention to detail during the build process. after build, following up with issues that needed to be fixed and getting them fixed in a timely manner.
Great location and community plan. Good range of house designs and options and, based on our experience, timely and competent construction.
Green Tech was very nice to work with. My project manager, Mike Burns, has really put a sour note to the whole experience though
The process of buying and building with GreenTech has been phenomenal. My sales agent was well informed, very transparent, and always available when I had questions. My designers were knowledgeable and had great taste, which allowed me to feel confident in the selections I chose for my home. I feel confident in my PM’s abilities to build a quality home. And everyone at GT is attentive and responsible. This has been a wonderful experience.
Mike was fantastic as a PM. In my current job, i deal with a fair amount of PMs. Mike is at the top of my list. He was on time, called me every week, sent fotos, answered all questions. OUTSTANDING!!!
Greentech has been amazing to work with. My custom home was completed on time and I was given updates twice a week on progress. My new home is beautiful and exceeded my expectations.
Everyone at Greentech was great at communicating throughout the whole process. I always felt informed and listened to
A quality company driven by highly qualified and motivated professionals that build really great homes.
Communication throughout has been superb
The overall process has been a smooth one and the home was finished on the date originally promised.
Tough ti get warranty items taken care of. No response is the norm.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had when building and buying a home. As someone who has moved quite a bit with work, this is my fourth house built and 7th move. I will never use or recommend Greentech to anyone. My wife is a real estate agent and we are going to do all we can to spread the word. Although, the ironic part is, everyone we have told about our horrible experience, has heard or experienced the same thing. Including the seven neighbors I have met so far. Absolutely pitiful and the worst company and builders ever.
I would recommend Greetech based on the excellent overall experience.
Overall, the quality of the design, products used, neighborhood plan, has been a reason to use Greentech. In terms of whether the contractors being skilled workmen, I hesitate. We did not see as much eye to detail, appreciation of doing a job well, or caring about finishing well. We understand mass production and the need for larger numbers of workers, however the communication barriers, which may be real or not, seem to allow for cutting corners. We did like seeing some local vendors for parts of the build as we believe in buying local.(could be a great marketing position for a local builder). We liked having the "Mike update" weekly. He maintained loyalty to Greentech while being available to assure us he was working towards our needs.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the concrete "mishaps" we had with the home. Granted the blob of concrete we have beside the steps from the garage into the home is not seen by anyone except us, however now we have to rectify somehow. The extra concrete we have beside the front door has been nicely covered up but it never should have been. The steps and mud-pour of our pad to the front door was also rectified, and never should have happened.
We built our first home with another builder in town and didn’t have a very good experience at all. Our experience with Greentech so far has been so amazing and 100% better than our previous builder. The communication has been amazing and I would absolutely recommend Greentech to everyone!
The moment we entered the Farmstead and walked around with Scott Thompson we knew that this was our future home!
At this moment I would recommend them but we are only in the beginning stages. So I’d like to reserve my recommendations until after my home is built and I get a real feel for the company and the quality of their work. But with that being said Kate in the sales dept is amazing as well as Anna in the design dept. They both are quickly to respond to any questions or concern my husband and I have. It has been a lot of fun thus far. Especially because of Kate and Anna. If your going with a Green tech build I’d definitely recommend both of these ladies to help you with that side of your build.
Kate J.
The workmanship and uniqueness of the build was very much to our liking. We were pleased with the extra touches they gave attention to. We like the extra little spaces that pop up in the kitchen and entryway.
Very slow to follow through to get things done on warranty work. Have to contact Melinda many times to get an answer and still don’t have any answers for our 1 year items that need doing. No one has shown up or contacted us. This is not what was promoted in all your lead up to purchasing our home.
We came with our daughter to look at Farmstead. We loved the houses. We really weren’t looking to purchase a lot, but at the time Lauren told us about the second phase they would be starting soon. She was very helpful, letting us know what would be available.
We can’t really run our sprinklers bc it makes our water bill outrageous. It would be nice if we could have had an ag meter. We have a small yard already and would never use comcast when Chattanooga has EPB, why the hell would you let them come in and dig up everyone’s yard and put ugly boxes that we will never use that just take up more space? Also, everytime, we have tried to get something fixed on our warranty list they just have to come back three times to do it right. And one of us has to take off of work for this every time. It’s very frustrating. It’s been a year and we still haven’t gotten the small list finished. David has been great, but that’s all I can say really bc we’ve been disappointed by the rest of the work.
Every step of the way was truly great. Scott was the first person we met with and he was super professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Anna helped us during the design process and was very patient while we made our selections and was a great help with her design expertise. We came in once when Anna wasn't available and received help from Lindsay and were treated as though we had been working with her from the start. She helped us work through a problem we had with the tile availability and was very helpful and spent a lot of time to make it right. Then we were handed off to Wesley who was great to deal with, friendly, helpful and always responsive to quality concerns. When Wesley was called to another site Jake took over, and was also professional and knowledgeable. Every quality concern I had throughout the process was taken seriously and was always corrected without any question whatsoever. I am very happy with Greentech and will absolutely be recommending them to friends and family.
Great communication, done timely and well with very few, small, and expected niggles to sort out at closing; which they promptly fixed!
