They did an excellent job building it and the timeframe but their work crew was messy. Other than that, they did a good job.
Great compeditive deal for a new home
You certainly get a lot of value for the money. You can’t beat the cost per square foot, but there is A LOT of work on the part of the homeowner. So, while you’re getting a great deal, you’re going to put in a lot of time. That said, Heritage delivered on their promise.
All of the young men were very mannerable. I enjoyed working with them. It took almost a year, but it was worth it. Everyone that comes here likes my house. They did a good job. All of the young men were wonderful.
The people at heritage builders were remarkable with communication and getting our home built in a very timely manner
I tried to recommend Heritage Homes to my friends, but after they saw the issues that we were having with our home, they decided not to go with Heritage homes. One of the issues that we were having was with our floor.
I was not happy with my experience.
EVERYONE WAS WONDERFUL!!!!
Dustin Schell was my go to person!!
He was AWESOME...
The communication was outstanding! He always returned my calls in a timely manner. He made the process SEAMLESS!! Girard kept us informed of the steps we needed to do during the process. He was AWESOME.
Joe helped us in the beginning when we started the process. He was GREAT!!
ALL the ladies in the office were so friendly and personable!!!!
Thank you Heritage Homes for such a WONDERFUL experience building our new home!!!!
Markel Rocker, the construction manager, made it a very easy process. He was very knowledgeable, handled things efficiently, and was very responsive whenever I contacted him.
I was highly impressed. They came and got the job done. The house looks good, it's warm, and the carpet looks good. Eric did a good job.
They need to have a little more communication. Heritage Homes' personnel needs to back off when they say a homeowner does not need to be notified when they make decisions without the HO knowledge. They personally bought stuff that was not ordered to begin with. When I asked questions, their response was that they could change things without my knowledge and not tell me. The paperwork they gave me said if we order something and can't get it in a timely manner, then they can change it.
There was an issue with sewage backing up in my new home. The crew member named Butch suggested I call Brown Plumbing to resolve the issue. After paying them several thousands of dollars, they were not able to fix the problem. I then went to Frank Lott, the general manager for Heritage Homes, and he was not able to help us either. He was very rude and did not even want to discuss the issue with us. I was very upset about this issue and thought the way Frank treated us was unacceptable.
Value - It is very fair price that I pay
Sales Knowledge - I like that salesman Joe he is very nice and helpful thank you.
Additional Comments - Dustin answer my question and fix the problem very fast he is a good builder. And he is very easy to talk to I would recommend to others thank you
Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to build a good home for a reasonable price. I liked the ease of the process. Heritage has a good process to help people who are building a home for the first time. Being able to make some minor changes and customizations has given us a beautiful high-end-looking home without the high-end price tag!
The brick work outside of the house was terrible. It was redone a few times. It is still not correct.
The length of time it took to build was a huge disappointment. And the quality of sub-contractors was the worst. They brought workers in that were not qualified to the tile work and the carpet. The walk-in shower had to be torn out multiple times (2) because the tile was not installed properly installed and the carpet was installed with seams showing and areas where it buckled up because it was not stretched correctly. Then we were encouraged by the construction manager to just accept the atrocious craftsmanship and get it repaired later using the warranty.
After living in the house for the first week most of the interior doorknobs fell off.
Having blinds professionally measured and installed it was discovered that quite a few of the windows were not square. The framers installed bowed out boards causing the window to be narrower in the middle than it was at the top and bottom.
Before the building inspector would sign off on the occupancy permit, he discovered a large piece of the a/s trunk duct that was never installed causing the a/c to blow out into the air handler closet. Again, demonstrating the disgustingly poor quality of sub-contractors used by Heritage Homes.
There are electrical outlets in the wall that move left and right several inches because they were not properly installed. And the light fixtures are the cheapest product that this company could buy at Lowe's of Home Depot.
And it is for these reasons and more that we are discovering daily that I cannot ever recommend this builder.
Heritage Homes was not the easiest to work with.
I am grossly disappointed and unhappy with the quality, workmanship, and substandard contractors.
I have already recommended Heritage and had two separate friends walk through the house we built to get an idea of what they could expect if they went with Heritage.
The build time took extremely long. The communication between the owner and construction representative was very inadequate.
They are super unorganized. The owner is very rude.
Not everything was perfect
Buying a home is stressful. Building a home is just as stressful. Using Heritage Homes was not only stressful but regretful. The communication was horrible. When asked questions, several different answers were given by different people. Things were left up to the homeowner to do that were never discussed nor listed on the Heritage Homes website. Three months later after closing and we are still waiting for appropriate parts and corrections to the home. Little communication is being given surrounding when these corrections will be complete.
Final product was good, but the length of time it took to get to final product was a little ridiculous
We had a few issues with them. It was frustrating along the way. Overall, I am happy with the house.
