We wanted to make sure all the design elements complement each other to combine into a beautiful kitchen remodel that reflects our taste and complements the rest of our home. I've been dreaming of a kitchen remodel for years, and when I finally decided it was time to act, my design inspiration from the last several years were all from Karin Ross Designs. During the initial meeting at our house, Karin could instantly see through our dated kitchen to the glamorous modern version it could be, and did a great job of walking us through the possibilities. When it came to making our selections, she did a wonderful job of narrowing the choices down to a few options so I wasn't overwhelmed, and I appreciated she wasn't shy about voicing her opinion and reminding me of her ultimate vision. It took me a little time to fully embrace the design, but Karin was incredibly patient and I could not be happier with the end result! Karin and Nick Ross, along with their team have done an exceptional job designing and reconstructing our main level and master bath. They took out a fireplace wall that separated our living room and kitchen which makes our home feel so much larger. We love the white and wood mixture of cabinets, our quartz countertops and huge island.
The living room has been transformed with an electric fireplace and large television, set inside a beautiful dark quartz slab. The dry bar Karin designed compliments the fireplace wall, both extending to the ceiling.
We definitely recommend Karin Ross Designs to anyone looking for a quality remodel with high end finishes, a team that works hard every day and an extensive knowledge of modern design elements.

Karin and her team were a dream to work with for our ground floor remodel! From the very beginning, the process was streamlined, convenient, and tailored to what we needed, and Karin helped us translate our vision for our house into reality. One of the reasons we wanted to work with a designer was because our house aesthetic is a little off the beaten track, and Karin was invaluable in sourcing materials and options that would match the kind of design we loved, along with anchoring our ideas into a cohesive whole that now makes the entire house flow. The actual remodeling process was quick and smooth, with a team that paid a lot of attention to detail and did an immaculate job. (One thing that was super lovely was that the team kept the worksite extremely tidy, which is a big help with kids and pets!) Having Karin work hand-in-glove with the remodeling team made the entire renovation process seamless and ultra-convenient. We are blown away with our renovation and how flawless our ground floor looks now; we’d use Karin again in a heartbeat!

We asked for a more functional, updated, organized, uncluttered, beautiful kitchen and that’s what Karin and Nick delivered. Karin Ross Designs did a fantastic job of doing our most recent home remodel projects. We had the entire main floor hardwoods refinished, the entire kitchen gutted and changed the layout, a new fireplace, and bar installed in our hearth room. It encompassed essentially 2000 sq ft of our home, and all of our daily living space. However, Karin and her team made the process as painless as possible. Without hesitation I would recommend them to anyone considering a home remodeling project. Karin has a true gift in design and her team does a fantastic job of making the vision you create with her, a reality.

Safe - Our project consumed most of our main living space, however the crew made it a point to clean things up as much as possible each day. Trash was always collected, scraps were disposed of, tools were put away, and floors were swept up as much as possible. Additionally, the construction areas were carefully enclosed during processes that created a lot of dust or fumes to keep from spreading to the rest of the house as much as possible.

Respectful

Respectful - The crew working our project was largely the same each day. They were extremely respectful of our home. They were here to get a job done and diligently stayed on task. We were completely at ease having them in our home without our presence.

Communication

Communication - Karin was always quick to respond to questions or concerns, regardless of the time of day. She was happy to discuss anything with me, to clarify or explain things I didn't understand. She also made herself available for last minute meetings and never left us feeling rushed or like an inconvenience.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - We did experience an issue as the refrigerator/freezer columns were being installed. While it was no fault of Karin Ross Designs, Karin immediately came to the job site to address the situation and rectified the situation quickly. She was calm and well thought out with her solution. There is absolutely no way she could have handled it any better, despite the fact that the issue wasn't even due to an error on her part.

Professional & Organized

Professional & Organized - From the first meeting with Karin, she was the consummate professional. She had all of our project information in a file and readily available for any questions I may have. When we arrived for each meeting, she was prepared, having already pulled samples of items she thought we might like. That organization allowed the meetings to be extremely productive and make as much progress as possible.

Schedule - Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, our project did run longer than expected. However, that was due to supply chain issues and COVID, not because of anything within Karin Ross Designs control. However, she remained extremely communicative, letting me know the status of shipments, work crew schedules, etc. Again, though no fault of hers, she handled it extremely well.

Value

Value - When Karin says that you have an agreed upon price when signing a contract and there are not additional hidden costs as you go through the project, she means it. Throughout the entire project, we never had a 'nickel and dime' moment. The contract was signed and we had agreed to it...and she meant what she said - we were never asked for an extra penny.

Sales Knowledge

Sales Knowledge - Karin was very knowledgeable about current design for our remodel, as well as what was feasible to make work for our space. She asked me to make a list prior to our initial planning meeting about items that I really wanted. We went through each item as we planned, discussing WHY I wanted them, how they could function in our space, where they would go, and then finalizing the decision. Some items that I thought I really wanted, I didn't end up doing, after she explained the pros and cons of them. However, those decisions were always left completely up to me, without pressure from her either way. She maintained it was MY space and she wanted me to love it, so the ultimate decision was always mine, but her vast knowledge of the industry was indispensably helpful in making decisions.

Design

Design - The finished project has exceeded my expectations and that is due to Karin's innate talent of design. The space functions efficiently and is so aesthetically pleasing, it's more enjoyable to be in.

Recognized Excellence - Josh and Drew were exceptional on site. They were professional and conscientious. They showed up every day with a positive attitude and were responsive to our requests. Each day before leaving the cleaned the work area and checked in with us letting us know what was coming up the next day. Their workmanship was exceptional!!

Karin Ross Designs has been fantastic to work with. From our first meeting when Karin and Nick came to the house and we talked through what we were thinking, to selection of the design that Karin created for us, to the item selection (tile, cabinetry, fixtures, etc.), everything was well thought out and coordinated. Karin and Nick took care of everything: coordinating plumbing, electrical, roofers, windows, carpet, ordering everything we needed for the project, etc. The guys (Jerry, Johnny, and Tony) that did the majority of the work on the house were extremely professional, friendly and focused on the work at hand. They were here every day at 8 AM. If we had any questions, concerns or requests, Karin was very accommodating, and the guys on site would take action.

We had two projects in one. The smaller project involved remodeling a hall bath, while keeping the existing footprint of the room. It turned out great! The larger project involved removing and adding walls and windows, completely reconfiguring plumbing, electrical and air to reimagine our master suite. The end result was way better than we could've ever envisioned ourselves. It was Karin's vision that we fell in love with and what we now have the pleasure of living in. It's awesome. We highly recommend Karin Ross Designs for your next home project.
