Recognized Excellence - Lance got a lot of questions and sometimes heartache from us during the process, but he was a real Pro and handled things in a manner and with an attitude that was clearly one of a true professional and caring builder. He was great.

Changes were made to my house during construction without my knowledge or approval. By the time I found out, it was too late. If I made any changes at all to during construction, I was charged extra, but when Gene Mostad shortened my house by two feet on one side and one on the other, no refund was forthcoming. In other words, you pay extra whenever he can get it, but he does not refund. Talking with Gene Mostad is frustrating. Before he has all of your money, he is more responsive, but once he has been paid, he seems to be blank inside: no communication, no followthrough.

Additional Comments - I was impressed with how quick the response was both times I had water in my crawl space. They are great with emergencies. With less threatening stuff...not so much.

The process was more than easy, it was really enjoyable. We had a great time and we love the house.I also want to mention Irene Easton, we couldn't have done it without her, she was incredible.

Customer Suggestion - If everyone, as customer, interacts with Gene Mostad his kindness, courtesy and professionalism show through in spades. He educates his customer, answers all questions, indicates where key decision points will occur and how best to work them. In short, Gene makes himself and his expertise fully available. Of course, I am speaking for myself and my wife and our experience with Gene, members of his family who work with or for the business and their staff are all superb, friendly and helpful.

Better Service - They do very, very well with their service. Asking them to provide better is a bit of a stretch. Given the previous example, that could have been avoided through better communication.

Recognized Excellence - There were a few people that were extremely impressive. Of course, Jean Mostad and Kevin were great. Also, Steve Newby the carpender, Dennis Lynch the tile guy, and Steve Meade the electrician were great.
