When we first approached Pioneer, we didn't know exactly what we wanted, just that we had a need. We now have a wonderful addition on our house that is the perfect transition from our backyard oasis into our house, a three (or maybe four) season room that offers protection from the elements while still letting you feel connected to the outside. Right from the start, Pioneer made us feel that we were part of the design process and with their knowledge and guidance, we were able to easily evaluate options and make well informed design decisions. They managed construction within an area that was extensively landscaped and took care to reduce the risk of damage. The on-site staff were highly skilled who took obvious pride in their craft. They were a pleasure to work with, communicating with us daily and respecting that their work area was our home. We are excited about our new addition and we are extremely pleased with the process of having it built.

Design/Selection Process - There was always someone available when we had questions regarding design and selection. We had many sit down meetings with a team of professionals to help make decisions and finalize design.

Professional & Organized - Incredibly professional throughout the whole renovation process. Once we finalized our contract we were given a detailed description of all the plans, dates and times for deliveries, construction and installations. We had weekly meetings for the team that worked with us. We always felt like we were heard. All installations were on time and very well organized.

Employees & Subcontractors

Employees & Subcontractors - We enjoyed all the employees and subcontractors. Each company that came into our home respected our space, engaged in conversation which made the process of renovating much easier to endure. We did our renovations during a pandemic, however all safety measures were in place. We felt very safe and comfortable with those coming and going during the Reno’s.

Communication

Communication - Communication was definitely a strong point with this company. We had numerous ways to get in touch with those working on our project. All contractors were readily available to answer questions, and/or discuss design options. If we had the need to contact our project manager he would reply quickly and efficiently.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - We did not have any major problems. However if there would have been, I have faith things would have been dealt with accordingly and with satisfaction.

Schedule

Schedule - Absolutely stayed on track. We did not lose any time on our renovations. Each date provided was followed through with efficiency.

Clean & Safe - Incredibly clean and safe. There were signs put up to remind those entering the house to wear masks and sanitize. Tools and supplies were always neatly and safely put away at the end of each day.

Trust - We developed a great relationship with those at Pioneercraftmen. There was no reason to not believe this company would not follow through. The communication between our team was so strong. We were consistently reassured that all Reno’s were on time and running smoothly. If there had been any concerns we feel very confident that Paul and Brian would speak with us and keep us up to date on any changes.

Areas Of Satisfaction - The whole experience exceeded our expectations. We feel they went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable during our renovations. We were still able to function in our home even though it was under construction. We had only a couple days where I was unable to cook, however we were given notice of that in advance. I loved that Pioneercraftmen introduced us to each sub contractor before coming into our home. We were given ample opportunity to communicate with all team members and we were made to feel important and understood at all times!

Remodeling Concerns - We were worried about everything! We knew this was going to be a complicated project. Pioneer stick-handled a thousand details that eased our minds, and let us go about our lives while they did so. Our project was delayed over and over (not Pioneer's fault) but Paul's good work and attention made things okay, in the end.

The work we do at Erb Streets is deeply important, and you have given our clients a beautiful space to come to for what can be very difficult work. The property dignifies the people that must go there, which makes the professionals that work there look good. I look forward to many tours, over the years, and giving you the credit for a beautiful space in partnership with me!

Overall, we had a very positive experience with Pioneer Craftsmen throughout our large renovation project. We are very pleased with the end results and feel that things went quite smoothly along the way. We were most impressed with the organization, professionalism, reliablilty, accountabliity and high quality of craftmenship. We will certainly recommend Pioneer Craftsmen to others and will consider Pioneer for any future projects.

This is the second time I have used Pioneer for a major renovation to my house. In depth consultations were conducted to design and plan all aspects of the renovation followed by a detailed project plan and cost estimate. I was updated and kept informed through out the process. Pioneer’s “craftsmen” (there was one woman!) were on site everyday, working and making progress on the renovation project.

End of everyday I was updated on what was completed that day, any issues that arose that needed some thought and decision as well as being informed about what would be happening the next day. And everything was tidied up and cleaned up at the end of each day.

Recognized Excellence - Nathan Presley, lead carpenter. In addition to fulfilling his role as on site project lead, he created a beautiful wooden mantle for the fireplace. I described what I was looking for and he found an old barn beam locally. He worked with the natural features of the old wood and enhanced them and made the perfect piece for the mantle, it is amazing and exactly what I was hoping for!
