Overall good experience. I needed more time to be on top of the details
My experience so far has been exceptional. Lindsay is great to work with. Pro-Built provides a project binder with detailed descriptions of how the entire process will work, including time lines. They are organized and very professional.
They have done a very good job on this house. I couldn't be more happy with it.
This organization is prompt, follows through, and its work is impeccable.
Their customer service is fantastic. I have been very impressed with the quality of care.
Trust - This was my biggest fear in the process and the ProBuilt team exceeded expectations.
My biggest thing was that they built on time. That was very important to me.
Recognized Excellence - We would like to cite Beth for her superb abilities as our PM on the project. We would also like to commend Katie for her patience and ability to quickly turn things around expeditiously during the initial selections process and whenever we had questions during the build process. Krystel is very responsive and always updates us and follows up regarding issue resolution post move-in.
So far everything has been good
They have very good quality construction, timelines, attention, and good proper response.
We would recommend Probulit, they provided us with a beautiful home and stayed on schedule. Orry was wonderful to work with and was always responisive and personable.
DO NOT BUILD WITH PROBUILT!!!
Easily the worst and most expensive experience my wife and I have paid for, unfortunately costing us years of savings $$. Every image you see was work that was given to us to sign off on as acceptable per ProBuilt. If we pointed something out, we were pinned against the subcontractor and ProBuilt took zero responsibility as the project manager and home builder. Our sales rep Lindsay was responsive and professional, but from the moment ProBuilt had our money the entire project fell apart. They're an extremely dishonest and shady company.
We built in Melrose Farms and broke ground August of 2020 and moved in April of 2021...so our spec home project took over 8 months to complete. We asked for a move in date regularly for the final two months of the project and were never given an answer UNTIL ONE WEEK BEFORE MOVE IN! Our project manager pushed most issues to punch list, punch list tried pushing everything to warranty, and here we are in August of 2022 with punch list items still not finished. 11 month walk/warranty items also are still unfinished.
To summarize our project:
Our project manager was an absolute wreck for the entirety of our project and rarely communicated with us. He even no call, no showed on us for two finish meetings in a row, costing my wife and I money on a babysitter and time off of work. We never received as mush as an apology, except for "there must have been a scheduling miscommunication". Numerous finishes and upgrades, which you pay for cash upfront, were ordered wrong and we were made to feel as though it was our fault for making the change during our selections meetings. We made multiple attempts to get Bob and/or George involved, neither of which helped - George never even responded to us. Our front step was poured nearly 1ft. off center of our front door, but the project manager told us it was "the angle of our photo". Our roof was damaged all over the place before the siding was even finished. Our cabinets were completely destroyed - every cabinet had mis-drilled holes and screws or was damaged during install. The siding job was a joke. The drywallers (maybe their worst subcontractor) textured the coffered ceiling beams (upgrade $$$)...beams are NEVER textured, but project manager told us "we always texture the beams". Our walls and floors are extremely bowed throughout the home. Our dishwasher was just slid into place, never anchored and we were told that my wife and I "never ordered the mounting bracket" when selecting appliances...every new dishwasher comes with a mounting bracket (they threw it out along with our double oven mounting hardware). Our hood ($500 upgrade) was never connected to the vent, and the hood cover was still installed in an attempt to cover this up hoping we wouldn't notice (until our home filled with smoke after move in). Our front porch slab is already cracked down the middle. Our foyer entrance floor is bowed to the extreme. Every second floor vanity was leaking water into our new cabinets and down through the ceiling to the first floor. The LVT was damaged going into the basement, so a cheap aftermarket metal strip was poorly installed in an attempt to cover the damage. Our yard drain was covered with debris and buried during rough grade and we had to have our landscaper dig it up.
I could go on and on...every home in the final phase of Melrose Farms had a similar experience with ProBuilt.
I absolutely would not recommend hiring ProBuilt to build your home. If you do, or if they're the only builder available in the neighborhood, I'd highly suggest investing in a 3rd party inspector to help manage the project.
The process started with Dave, our sales person. Great first impression.Well informed.Followed up on all aspects of his responsibility. Beth who is on site, kept us well informed, followed up in a timely manner, and updated us on a regular basis. Office staff was patient during the process of picking out interiors.Shout out to Jason the finish carpenter. Did some special request we asked for and did them nice. Mario did a excellent job on the finish painting. Especially the wood work. Had some adjustments to the sprinkler system, and the sprinkler company followed up quickly.Dave and Beth drove the whole process. We feel we have a Quality Homes supported by Quality People. Annamarie, Joe and Joe Morrison.
Yes, I would, in the end, I got a beautiful cool house on the water with boat docks
Will provide final recommendations after home is complete! So far highly recommend.
Enjoyed working with such a knowledgeable staff.
They were able to build a home we asked them to build. Although they built it under the circumstance of material and labor shortage, many other companies are doing the same. I would have given them a 5 star if the quality was near perfect and our home was 100% complete. I understand the septic ws delayed due to the city's requirement but with better planning this could have been installed last year.
The communication with the company is great.
Already have recommended and they are now new clients for you!
I would HIGHLY recommend ProBuilt to ANYONE! Our home building journey has been so simple and enjoyable from our first meeting with Lindsay to our design meetings with Katie to our final walk through. Our Project Manager, Beth kept everything on track, kept us informed of the progress weekly and patiently addressed our questions and concerns very quickly. ProBuilt is the definition of customer satisfaction!
This is the second time that I built with Probuilt Homes. Although this experience was a bit more challenging, there were other outside factors to consider. I’m very happy with the results and would recommend Probuilt. It is important that the project manager really drives things forward. Once Orry took over the project things went very smoothly!
ProBuilt is excellent. We had a great experience with them!
Areas Of Satisfaction - ProBuilt's staff, and their trusted network of subcontractors, were all very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough during the entire home design and building process. But just as, or perhaps even more importantly, they were all very nice to us, and that counts for a lot.
I was working with ProBuilt from 1000 miles away. My main concern was honest communication. I was updated every step of the way. Communication was easy, professional and pleasant from my sales person, office staff, project manager and CEO.
Have not broke ground yet but so far we are super happy with Pro Built and Lindsay .
This response in up to my experience so far. Hopefully my opinion will not change by the end of the build
Professional & Organized - Pro Built homes was went above and beyond to keep us informed throughout the process. Dave Kronenburg our sales representative was knowledgeable and patient as we navigate the steps necessary to plan our forever home. We had looked and talked with other builders but Pro Built went above and beyond to make sure we understood the whole process and felt comfortable with every decision.
ProBuilt did a wonderful job building our home. It is absolutely beautiful and the quality is outstanding.
Fantastic process so far!
We met with a handful of builders and had the best experience with Probuilt. They offered the best value without sacrificing quality.
They have been fantastic throughout the entire process. My foreman kept me in the loop, and when any issues arose, he had a solution within 24 hours.
Absolutely !
ProBuilt has a wide variety of styles and abilities that will fit various tastes/needs.
Professional and caring. This is the third house that I have had built. No building experience is perfect but this was the best that I have experienced.
I would recommend ProBuilt because the process so far has been very easy and the sales rep responds immediately to any questions I have.
They don’t care about customer satisfaction.
Why Us? - I felt comfortable with them and liked their process the best.
Where to begin... Terrible experience. Incredibly disorganized all around. The house would set for weeks with no work done. Project manager was incompetent at best. First finish date was April of 2020. Multiple extensions and none met (We understand with Covid, things would be delayed, but almost a year is ridiculous). While we have moved into the home, we are still waiting as of January 2021 for things to be fixed and items to even be finished. The owner, George, decided last minute to not honor a contractual agreement as to closing cost the night before closing. We are also taking George to small claims court over unfinished items/contractual obligations not met. We have steered multiple friends away from ProBuilt and would never recommend them for any project. The owner gave no regard to contracts or obligations. If I were him, I would be embarrassed.
PBH failed to adhere to our contractually obligated timeline, or the multiple subsequent extensions. The home would go for weeks without any progress (even before Covid). Lingering issues went unaddressed for months after close. George backed out of a contractually agreed-upon payment towards closing costs the night before closing. Poor attention to detail both throughout the construction process and on the finished home itself.
ProBuilt made our dream home a reality!
I loved working with Lindsey and Josh, they were fantastic.
Additional Comments - They made the process very enjoyable. They put us at ease and never pressured us into anything. They just gave us options and let us chose.
I have already referred about 8 different people to inquire with ProBuilt, one of which is now using ProBuilt as their builder.
We love our new home and we are very happy with everything that ProBuilt Homes did for us. Thank you so much. We will definitely recommend you to all of our relatives and friends.
Why Us? - I felt like they were the right size builder for what we wanted to build. They were also attentive and supportive more than others. They are local and have a good reputation.
We have built 2 homes with Pro Built . One for my parents , one for our family . We would highly recommend them . From the start of sales , to the completion , it was a great experience . The entire staff at Pro Built took care of every need we had . Very professional , and courteous , and organized. The follow up with any small warranty work after we moved in has been great Also .
Sales Attentiveness - Dave is awesome!! We are a 100% custom build and he has worked with us on every detail of what we want in the home
Salesperson Punctuality - Dave was always punctual for our meetings
Sales Follow Up - Dave was excellent at follow-up, his responses to our calls and emails was immediate. If he did have to follow-up with another resource at ProBuilt, he was back to us either that day or the next.
Understand Building Process - ProBuilt provides a timeline of what to expect as well as clear and concise checklist of all the things that both ProBuilt and we as the buyers need to do and when during the build process.
Professional & Organized - They are very professional and very organized. They have an excellent process in place to walk the buyer through the build process and are guiding us through what we need to do to have a successful project completion.
Why Us? - Three reasons: 1) They really listened and worked with us, they heard what we wanted and made it happen. 2) They were very price competitive. Their level one finishes and "package offerings" far exceeded what other builders offered so we didn't need as many upgrades which tremendously helped the overall cost and kept us on budget. 3) They have some basic build materials that are included that the other builders did not have, i.e. siding is .044 not .040, higher R Value for insulation; name brand furnace, etc...
Why Us? - I know someone who built with ProBuilt, and they know someone who built with ProBuilt. Nothing but glowing comments from all, and I expect to join them once my house is complete.
The experience is
I am happy with my home so far.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They did an excellent job building our new home. We are first time new home builders so this was a new experience for us and it went very well.
Recognized Excellence - The whole team, Dave, Katie, and Brian did a great job.
They are great employees and a great owner!
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met and exceeded all of our expectations. Everything is really well built, when we ran into issues they solved them. We are really pleased with what we got and we got a lot more than we thought we would. They genuinely cared about everything.
