Our History and Philosophy:
Simonini Homes is a third generation family-owned home building and home renovation company. Our heritage spans nearly five decades and we are proud to be known as the Southeast’s premier custom home builder. Our values are based on developing long-term relationships with our clients, delivering on our commitments in a timely way and bringing our experience and expert capabilities to everything we do. Then and now, unparalleled quality and customer service are the cornerstones of our business.
We are proud to have been part of the Simonini Team that was honored at the national level with the top three awards in the home building industry: America’s Best Builder, National Builder of the Year and the National Housing Quality GOLD Award. We believe the peer recognition we’ve received is the direct result of our commitment to building efficient, structurally sound and dynamically livable homes of enduring quality. In addition, Alan Simonini is the only area builder to be inducted into the William Marvin Hall of Fame for Residential Design, an award honoring him for his ground breaking contributions to the field.
At Simonini Homes we believe our reputation is our greatest asset. After nearly 50 years in Charlotte we continue to value our traditions while fostering an innovative culture for talented professionals. Every part of the team was attentive to our needs. Our Project manager, Patrick Dougherty was indispensable, communicating with us daily, helping us build a home in NC while residing in Pittsburgh. Our interior designer, Jai Folk, spent many efficient hours with us , creating the interior we wanted. The entire team was kind and patient, while ensuring we got what we wanted in a timely fashion.

The home is not as well made as I would have anticipated. More short cuts taken than I would have thought for the price of the home. Some representatives from the company were lovely to deal with while others were awful.

Changed over contractors 3 different times during the course of construction. Lack of communication when each new contractor began. We have been living here for 3 months, no one has contacted us to schedule 90 day follow up and many items yet to be fixed/touched up.

The lack of communication was so frustrating that it made what should have been a pleasurable process miserable. We have been in the house for 5 months and we still have significant items from our move in punch list (including the kitchen cabinets) that have not been done.The organization screams for the need of a quality control manager through out the building process and particularly follow up on post closing punch list items.In the end, we like the house but getting to this point has been more stressful than it should have been. I could only give a qualified recommendation for Simonini to another buyer.
