I already have. I was at a function this past Friday1 Nov and in conversation they shared they were in search a home builder in Matthews. I shared the quality and timeliness of Stateson. I gave them the number Stateson.

The home building process with Stateson Homes was great! We were moving from out of state and they made us feel very involved in the process with weekly updates and progress pictures! The building process was fast and we feel the quality of the home is great!

Additional Comments - We never thought we would want to go through the headaches of building a new home, but with Stateson it was a very smooth and an easy process. We were so pleased with every aspect from picking out the floor plan, design center, quality and the reasonable time in which it took to build the house. We would highly recommend Stateston to anyone wanting to purchase a new home.

We felt as if we were guinea pigs for The Hanover floor plan. We were one of the first people to build this floor plan after its release, and it became obvious at the very beginning that the kinks had not been ironed out and their marketing had not been updated to reflect what they were actually capable of building in a Hanover. We were told from the very beginning that we would have 9 ft ceilings on our first level, only to find out halfway through the building process completely on our own that our ceilings were only 8 ft. We were also told that we would have a seat in our master bathroom shower, only to find out at our pre-drywall meeting that it was "not possible" for our floor plan, even though it is standard in all of the other Stateson models.

We have encountered numerous areas of poor workmanship throughout our home immediately after closing. We would rather have a longer build timeline and receive a home with quality workmanship instead of our home being built in less than 6 months and starting our list of fixes/repairs immediately upon moving in.

The people we signed the contract with to the person giving us the keys when our home was finished were the best of the best!

Professional & Organized - The developers were great! The sales staff was a bit more disorganized, and I waited outside for over 30 minutes on my closing date because someone forgot to show up and let us in.

We moved in May 9th, 2024. Early on there were some things we didn't like, but there were things in late April early May we liked even less. Issues like landscaping/yard, not being able to do anything about blinds or shades for the windows, leaving us without privacy for a while, and finding out there were no light fixtures in the bedrooms. Things got worse from May 9th on. I had a list problems that were to be addressed for the 45 day walk-through which started much later than the 45 days. Issues that shouldn't have been difficult to care of and while some things were fixed after I persisted, some things have not been completed and we are now getting close to twice that 45 day period. By far the worst of all is the number of times I have been ignored or have not been told the truth (a nice way of putting it). They seem to want to do the bare minimum. And it is astounding to me when contact is made, how many times I have been promised certain things at specific times and no one shows up, no calls or any kind of contact. It sure looks like Stateson Homes is not interested in anything but building houses as fast as they can, making as much money as they can, and not taking care of the ones who are paying for their over priced houses.

The local representatives, Brenda Helmandollar and John Snow, were great to work with. I wish I could say the same for the rest of this company.

I could see myself recommending Stateson to a friend if the situation was presented to me.

The whole process was extremely smooth. Finished quicker than expected. The building process was very efficient with constant updates. Tristan was quick to answer questions and a pleasure to work with. The finish quality of the home is fantastic! Beautiful home, fantastic quality, even better people.

I am Happy with the maintenance support, Jason have been very prompt to address issue . However after moving into new villa in 6 month itself we had a solid crack on wall between master BR and hall. Not sure if it’s design issue . I strongly believe it’s not a regular crack due to climate change but it’s a big one. This is worrying for us and we think it could come back in future .

I am very satisfied with the sales and construction process.

They have a lot of homes being built at the same time, but it also feels like they take time to listen and understand each individual family's needs/desires.

Denny was encouraging, insightful, and simple to deal with, making the experience a breeze. He always took the time to share and visit with our many visits to our new home. Great asset to Stateson Homes.

Our overall experience with Stateson Homes has been positive. Alex truly went above and beyond in working with us to answer questions and provide options that made sense for us. His communication was ongoing and very much appreciated, answering questions and providing updates throughout the process. We never felt pressured throughout the buying process or the design center experience. He also provided many recommendations that were invaluable.

I am likely to recommend them because, although I am a little upset with some things, in general they are good.

Our total experience with Stateson Homes was wonderful, especially when we were in the design phase. When choosing kitchen and bathroom cabinets, handles and knobs, faucets, or rugs and floor types, Brenda, Anthony, and John were loaded with experience and ideas and were just SO helpful--and right in all their suggestions. The end result is that our completed dream house is everything we wanted and wished for.

I think so. Build quality and delivery time seem good. The app experience could be better for getting build updates but the house came together so quickly it wasn't much of an issue.

Stateson Homes was a pleasure to work with and built a high quality home for me. I particularly like the guarantees they offer and the "after the sale" follow ups.

The service is fantastic. I am very pleased and satisfied with all that they offer.

The only concern I have is the materials that were used in the home could have been better quality. The paint, doors, and wood are not the best quality.

Design Center Consultant - Jade, my Design Center consultant, was so knowledgeable & made good suggestions. She was helpful in every way possible. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.

I think it has been a great experience. There have been a few negatives. I have only owned the home for just over a week now. It was a 5-month turnaround. I think the paint quality could have been better on the interior of the house with the final finished product. I know there were a lot of people in the house at one time, but overall, I think the overall care of the house could have been better. There were some scratches here and there. For it to be a brand new home, I felt that there would have been more care involved with the overall finished quality. To be buying a brand new home, I am a little disappointed on that end, but overall, it was okay.

We would recommend building with Stateson. They are professional, helpful and knowledgeable. We were always kept updated and everyone was friendly.

Overall we had a good experience so yes we would recommend Stateson to a friend.

They were at least as professional and trustworthy as you would expect a homebuilder to be. When there are some bad builders all around the area, Stateson is one to go with definitely. The competition may not be that tough with a certain "other" large builder in the area being pretty trashy, but Stateson did go above and beyond on multiple occasions. I hope that they get some more subdivsions in the area because they could do some really great work in the most desirable areas.

Deciding Factors

Deciding Factors - I was not looking to build a home, however this was the best option to have the options I would like. I am looking forward to the amenities Westhill offers.

I would highly recommend Stateson Homes to everyone. They provided great customer service and were very attentive and detailed, which I appreciated.

I was hesitant to go with new construction when I moved to Blacksburg given I would have to go into temporary housing/I have heard horror stories about delays, but I am happy I chose Stateson - the entire process was smooth and transparent. There were no delays and I enjoyed the weekly updates once the house was under construction. I am extremely happy with my house in all regards!!!
