Sun Design has been fantastic throughout the design process for our new 3 season room. We were provided with several design options based on our wishes and all the little details that we would have never thought of were addressed. The entire design team was very helpful and creative. Our experience with Sun Design has been nothing short of wonderful. From our initial meeting with Craig to working closely with Morgan & Emily, every stage of the design process has been refreshingly easy despite the fact that our kitchen restructure was complex. With thoughtful consideration to our 124-year-old home, Sun Design presented plans that maintained the character of our farmhouse & resolved issues with functionality & form— all while respecting our desired budget & overall objective.

We already have, and will do so again when we hear of someone planning a remodel project. But we will not make any kind of recommendations to anyone who is not even thinking of doing a remodel at the time.

As two working professionals with little down time and no previous renovation experience, we knew we needed a partner that we could rely on to efficiently guide us through the design process and that we would trust to hand-off / manage the resulting construction. We have been incredibly pleased with the attentiveness of the entire team, the collaborativeness and transparency on things like expected challenges, costs and other considerations when thinking through our design wish list and budget. Their defined design process established a helpful pace to the project, yet they are more than willing to touch base throughout to answer questions, respond to interim ideas, etc. They are also great about working with other vendors to make sure designs are aligning with other specialized plans for the space (we are installing an indoor putting green as a component of the overall renovation space). Craig, Maggie, Emily and the whole team were a pleasure to work with!

Sun Design goes above other contractors, but you pay a hefty premium for it. I feel like I'm being nickeled and dimed while paying at least twice as much for the renovation. The base price has hidden costs/fees that do not add up and I sadly do not see the value for the money I'm paying. It would have been better for us to hire an actual architect and source the construction ourselves and save $80k!

It is hard to imagine our project going any better. The team was extraordinarily capable and fun to work with. We absolutely love our new sunroom.

Overall, the team performed very well. The project was technically complex, the work was challenging, but the team conducted themselves professionally in spite of the normal problems that arise day-to-day on the jobsite.

The design process was great. We felt supported and listened to. My one bit of advice is to be a bit more clear on the expectation setting of the process in layman's terms. We had a schedule but I didn't know what I didn't know so when they said "X meeting", I would never really know what to expect and when to expect it.

We were very pleased with the design assistance,the quality of the workmanship and the finished product.

From the beginning, the whole team has been a joy to work with. We've spent a lot of time getting to know each other and they have made it their mission to understand our needs (and helped us figure them out too). We can't wait to see our new home when the project is finished!

I have been very pleased with them. Sometimes it may be due to Covid, but it's difficult to get my questions answered. It may be that I have too many questions. They are not always there on their end when I want them, not when I need them, but when I want them. But the quality and support was very good.

I felt that the salesman was a little pushy, and did not give accurate information about it. He told us things needed to be changed to be brought up to code, but they did not have to be changed.

After "living" with the work done by Sun Design for this past year, I am not as enthusiastic as I was at the onset. However, if asked for a referral I would recommend the company.

My 89-year-old mother recently experienced a health event, and we contacted Sun Design to do an “aging in place” bathroom remodel for her. Everyone at Sun Design has been great to work with – from my first conversation with Grace to set the process in motion, to the design and product selection with Jon and Nicolette that made our outcome not only beautiful but a look that is uniquely ours, to our amazing project manager, Jamie, and all of the supporting team members, like sweet Daniel, the trades, and the warranty team.

I expect any company doing remodeling to be able to do the big things, but the differentiation is in the small details and unique extras. The entire project was handled with meticulous care from start to finish and turned out beautifully! Although Sun Design may be on the higher side of the price scale, with the quality of their work and depth of the team I would make the same decision to use them again.

Until we worked with Sun Design, we didn’t know what a good experience with contractors were. The bar has been set. As long as we live here, we won’t work with anyone else.

I have used them twice, and they are very good.

Sun Design completely transformed our master suite. We went from a single sink/tiny shower to a double sink/double shower with separate toilet room and walkin closet. They also made updates to the home office and outdated staircase. Project included new master suite, lighting, heated floors, decorative moldings, pocket doors, cable railings, an open office space for a contemporary/transitional space.

It's not easy to mix contemporary with transitional but Sun's designer Maggie was 100% open to all of my ideas and was able to bring them to life AND improve on them.

Sun does things right, from permitting to lining up your floor tiles to create the perfect pattern. They care about the details and want you to be happy - after my project was complete a member of the warranty team came to do a walkthrough - he made a list of a few things to be "fixed" that I didn't even notice. That's proof though that they are proud of their work and truly care about the final result.

After meeting with a handful of design/build companies, Sun Design was the first that was able to give us confidence in their ability to deliver a kitchen layout in a less than straightforward space. In addition to having professional staff, the trades they brought in for the job were also exceptional and made sure that we were happy with the work at every turn. From start to finish, Sun Design made every effort to work with us as various changes came up. It is one thing to walk away with a pretty kitchen. It is another to walk away with a pretty kitchen that you can feel confident is not going to fall through the floor or fall apart next week and be able to look back on the build process and feel like it was an overall good experience. That is what you get with Sun Design.

The quality of service with everyone we dealt with at Sun Design was exceptional. Our new sunroom and kitchen renovation has changed our lives.
