This is our second experience with The Wiese Company - we were extremely pleased with our kitchen and we decided to use them to renovate our master bathroom . The Wiese Company are professional, diligent, and customer centered. We are again very happy with the outcome of our renovation. They do their best to make sure the customer has as little impact as possible during the process of the renovation. We appreciated this as we have busy lives and a family. Their schedule is extremely helpful and you always know what the timing of the project will be. We are very happy with our new bathroom.

They did an exceptional job from start to finish. The follow thru on any items we wanted addressed was excellent.

We could not have been more pleased with the work done by Wiese. They demolished our old kitchen and built us a knew one from scratch in 5 1/2 weeks. They finished ahead of scheduled and did everything exactly when they said they would. And the work was outstanding - we love our new kitchen. Every step of the process was seamless. Their design consultant helped us with our choices, giving us a schedule of what needed to be selected when, and helping us narrow the choices. The project foreman did a tremendous job -- always kept us in the loop of what they were doing, worked around our scheduled, kept the area sealed off and the house clean every night to minimize disruption to us. Remodeling a Kitchen can be a very disruptive and daunting task for any homeowner. Our goal, having limited experience in construction/remodeling was to find a company that was a one-stop-shop; from architectural design to managing all aspects of the construction. The Weise company fit this goal for us. From the thorough design process, to the contracting, and subsequent construction, they were exceptionally organized, and transparent in every way. They provided the roadmap of what we needed to be doing or thinking about during the entire construction process. The constant communication whether it be during our scheduled weekly meetings or at any other time, created a seamless feel to the entire project. From the design phase to the final product, The Weise team and their sub-contractors, were consummate professionals.Our new kitchen completely flows with the rest of our house, this can be attributed to not only the high-quality workmanship, but the exceptional design guidance we received throughout the process.

We hired The Wiese Company to expand our second floor, adding a master bedroom suite and relocating an existing bathroom. Being our first renovation and having heard from friends’ negative experiences, we were bracing ourselves for a few months of challenging, uncomfortable living and endless negotiations. We chose Ray Wiese and his team because from the beginning they impressed us with their professionalism, pragmatism and open communication. They made every effort to listen and understand our wishes and involve us in every step of the process, creating solutions to some architectural and engineering challenges that were both sound and eye pleasing. Our designer and project manager led us through the design of the space and the selection of materials keeping us on schedule and moreover making the process an enjoyable experience. The team kept us updated with weekly meetings, laying out the next steps and patiently answering all of our questions and concerns. We were able to live on the first floor during the renovation with no big inconvenience from either the workers or the dust; they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. We recently hired The Wiese Company for a complete kitchen renovation, adding a guest suite (including bathroom where none existed) in our old, dingy basement, and a whole slew of related miscellaneous, smaller projects. Both the process and the results were fantastic! Ray is clearly devoted to 100% customer satisfaction. His design expertise sets him apart from every other builder / contractor we've encountered. Jeremy, the on-site project manager / master carpenter, managed all the subs effectively and ensured that the quality of workmanship performed by himself, his crew and all subs was top notch. He also made sure that all workers were respectful of the fact that our family, including our newborn, was still living at our home during this large scale renovation. He worked around our schedule to minimize the inconvenience of remodeling. Alexandra immediately recognized our aesthetic tastes and always helped us find the right selection, even for the items where we were extremely specific and / or picky. Her attention to even the smallest detail made one of the most stressful parts of building / remodeling smooth, and the result is that we couldn't be more thrilled with the way everything came together. Because everybody involved was so professional, the punch list at the end was not as long as previous projects of ours for which we used other companies. However, no matter how professionally a project of this scale is done, there will always be some critical and tricky punch items that manifest once you're living in the space again. Matt took our punch list very seriously, even smaller items that we are just very particular about. He has been effective at personally fixing punch items as well as getting other entities to come back to address small issues, which isn't always the easiest thing to do. You can tell that The Wiese Company has built good working relationships with their subcontractors, who are clearly the same crews from job to job, especially with the two most important trades: electrical and plumbing. When crews of different tradesmen are used to working with each other, their effective communication with each other during the project means that problems are solved properly and quickly, which translates to the project being completed on time. We had such a positive experience overall that we have already recommended The Wiese Company to multiple people and will continue to do so at every opportunity. We plan to hire them again for multiple bathroom renovations and couldn't imagine going through remodeling projects with anybody else.

Our master bathroom remodel was a good experience. The Wiese Company did a good job of managing the project start to finish and kept to the project timeline. Budget - The project finished EXACTLY on time (even with two scope changes that we added). The final cost was within 2% of the original estimate.

Sales - Terry is fantastic. She is so well organized and clear on the plan that her presentation of the project during and at the end of the design phase is easily understood. Terry's enthusiasm for what she does was apparent in how she addressed our specific project and made sure that it would meet all of our needs.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - Only two issues arose in the execution of the design resulting in minor tweaks (that Terry and Matt already had work arounds for). By the time we reviewed the issue, the solution was already obvious. The finished room was actually better in both cases than the original plan.

Overall, the Wiese company does quality work in a timely manner. Our home is a nearly 100 year old brick tudor with some unique architectural details, such as gumwood wainscoting, molding, picture rail, and beams. They understood the importance of renovating and restoring these irreplaceable details and did an amazing job on the wood in the house. The initial schedule was essentially adhered to from the time the demolition began to the day we were able to move back home. That's pretty remarkable. Subs showed up when they were supposed to and completed the work according to their planned schedule. There were elements of working with the Wiese company that were frustrating; most notably ongoing communication with the project manager. Our job was, perhaps, unusual and more complicated than the norm in that we were asking them to recreate the house as it was before our fire, rather than have them design a remodel. Some of the communication issues stemmed from that, others from key staff turnover, but primarily from the job manager having difficulty being appropriately assertive and organized in his communications. I would recommend the Wiese Company to anyone needing high quality contracting.

It's amazing how much personal time Ray gives his clients.We had been thinking about a vaulted ceiling but the cost would not have been worth the value. Ray didn't give up, by angling the ceiling up slightly on each side we have the feel of the vaulted ceiling without the cost. The square feet of my kitchen didn't change but it feels twice the size!

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - The staff are calm and even-tempered. It didn't matter what came up or what questions we had, they took time to answer them in a comprehensive manner. If they didn't have answers that day they did the research and got back to us promptly.Like when I insisted the double French doors to the deck open out. Ray could have made me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about. Instead he did the research and came back to us excited by what he had found to give us what we wanted.

Design - I love, love, love my kitchen. It seems hugh and I have so much storage space that I actually have extra space.I have never enjoy cooking more. Every time I cook I'm so grateful that we found the Weiss Team.Even our best friends love cooking in our kitchen! So much that they call and say we're bringing dinner but we're cooking it at your house! I can have 3-4 people working in the kitchen and we never run into each other. Even my son who is a builder commented on how easy it was to cook together in our new kitchen.I love that I'm no longer isolated in the kitchen while our guests are in the living room. Now that the space is open to the dining area everyone hangs out at the breakfast bar.

Selections Process - Thank heavens for Ray. One of the things we made clear was that we wanted Ray to limit our choices and I'm so glad we did. There were so many choices to make and so little time. I found Tom at the end of one day staying late to clean up some dust and dirt that had fallen from the ceiling onto my washer and dryer. Additional Comments - We couldn't of been happier. It was a great experience. They got it done in a timely manner and I would recommend them to anyone who asks.

Sales

Sales - Ray was great. He was aware of our need to get the project done in a timely manner and he did everything he could to get the design completed at a very rapid pace.

Selections Process

Selections Process - They did a great job helping me with the design and with choosing products and paint colors. My time was very limited. In fact I did not think that I had the time to undertake a major renovation. The Wiese Company made it possible for me to get the job completed with the limited time that I had available.. The last day of the job, Ray stopped by and noticed that there was nothing on the windows. He sent one of the team members to purcahse and install some window treatments so that the new space was ready for occupancy. That is just one example of how the Wiese Company goes above and beyond what you might expect.

Lead

Lead - Matt did a great job. There was major renovation going on in the house, but things were kept organized and clean and safe. He even made sure that my 3 cats were OK.

Recognition - Matt Coady was the lead carpentar on our job. He was great!. He was there every morning and made sure that things got done on schedule and with minimal disrutpion to the rest of the house.

Additional Comments - The entire staff at the Wiese Company as well as their subcontractors were a pleasure to deal with. Always hlepful and professional. An excellent team. We had a special need to get our renovations done in a timely manner. We were doing renovations that would make the house handicap accessible so that one of its occupants could leave the nursing home and finally come home.to stay.Ray Wiese made sure that things were done on time. In the design phase he went above and beyond to make Stan feel like part of the process. He made several visits to the nursing home to get Stan's input. He even brought samples of products to be used. in the job. The new space is beautiful and a safe place for Stan. It meets all of his needs. Thank you Wiese Company for being so terrific! We really appeciate the job that you did. Stan is so happy to be home in his beautiful new space. .
