Aside from a few minor issues which I am sure come with the territory of new builds and renovations, the overall product is excellent. It is our new favorite room/area of our home and will be using it all year long.The product and workmanship are top notch, and I would recommend one spend the extra money to have a quality product installed. I am a firm believer in "You get what you pay for" so if it is too cheap then 'You get what you pay for". We are glad we invested in Carolina Decks for this addition to our home.

The crew did a great job, they finished everything in a week and the jobsite was always cleaned up before they left for the day. The deck is structurally much stronger than the one it replaced.

I couldn't be happier with our new porches, particularly the full front porch. Many of my neighbors have commented about how beautiful it is. One said that if she has a front porch done, she wants the company who did mine (The Deck and Fence Co.) to do it. The builders weren't just builders, they were craftsmen. The porches turned out much better than I expected. The front porch makes my old house look new.

I really enjoy seeing women in the trades. She gains much respect from the guys which is great. Always responsive too. Then on to the team that built my deck. They were made up of Cassidy, Jared, & Gabe. These guys were great and very polite. I liked talking to them everyday. It was a joy using this company. I also briefly met Zach when the trailer was delivered to my driveway. So overall I would definitely recommend this company. Heilman was outstanding to work with across the board. Job started and finished on time, crew was highly professional and friendly, and the job was expertly done. I've already contracted Heilman for a second project at my house and have also recommended them to others.

After starting my project with a different company, I hired Ray to take over the permit and replace a second story deck. Project moved quickly, communication was good and the deck looks great.

This is the second project we have done with Heilman. We have been both amazed and completely satisfied with the results from both projects. Not only was Andy knowledgeable and easy to work with, but his crew is fantastic as well. They were punctual every day, pleasant to have working around the house (we have young kids and they were very mindful of any debris left in the yard in the event our kids might come across something) and they were extremely polite to work with. Joe Dembeck was an excellent partner throughout the whole process. We had several companies come out to quote us on a new deck and patio. But Joe spent hours with us, talking through the pros and cons (and costs) of different designs until we came up with a plan that we couldn't be happier with. Joe was patient and put zero pressure on us through the whole process. We will definitely be giving Joe a call soon to work on our front porch and walkway!

Unfortunately, at this time I do not know anybody that needs a new deck. would be glad to talk to anybody that has questions about the quality of work.

Overall, the team was very professional and I chose them as I believed the communication would be very strong. Most contractors I've worked with are lacking in this area. Once my project started I felt there was an overall lack of communication including not knowing when the crew would arrive on the first day. Lack of communication from the Field Quality Manager continued, though I was in strong communication with the onsite crew. Due to this, I didn't feel confident of what I had agreed to in my initial design consult and what had actually been installed for my deck. Overall, it was a stressful situation that Master Decks did remediate to ensure my expectations were met, but do feel like if there had been a check in by the Field Quality Manager or someone from the main office even once during the middle of the project it would have been a much better experience.

The start of our new composite deck experience began with the lovely and very knowledgeable Michael guiding our project and then delivering the estimate quickly. The base of our deck had to be rebuilt due to the specs of the previous cedar deck not being compatible. Once the crew arrived, their work was done expeditiously and professionally with great attention to detail. Our satisfaction with the completed project was beyond our expectations. We went with the TimberTech Legacy collection (pecan with expresso border) that surprisingly looks very close to actual wood. We highly recommend this company for your deck project!Gary & Karen
