I recommend Vintage Homes to anyone who is building or thinking of building a home. Their work is beautiful and sturdy. But, what sets them apart is their communication and dedication to excellence.

While building my custom home, I was living 200 miles away and wasn’t able to visit the job site often. I received weekly updates with pictures via the Buildertrend app. This made the process seamless and I quickly learned I could trust them to do an excellent job. Vintage uses this app with all of their customers.

In addition to great communication, they went above and beyond to create a quality home by using the best materials and being proactive. When I moved into my home, I realized they’d installed a drain in my yard to help with standing water. This was something I didn’t ask for and wouldn’t have been aware enough to ask for due to my location during the build. Vintage took pride in their work and was proactive in fixing this potential issue of standing water in the yard so I never had to deal with it.

I have a ton more things I could share about my experience with Vintage but I’ll end it with this—during the time of the pandemic and supply shortages, Vintage always came with solutions when we ran into supply issues. I appreciated this and the help of their designer, Jenny Johnston, in navigating this build with zero stress.

Recognized Excellence - Justin Sevier (also Thomas Johnson who was with us for the first half of project and has now returned) were exceptional in their attention to detail, knowledge, ability to work with the architect and roll with the punches. Justin could not have been more helpful and upbeat , even when things happened beyond our control (like a tree falling on the newly built garage roof) . He and Thomas were helpful in making recommendations of what to pick and how to stay in the budget. Unlike many builders who take twice as long as they projected, and often end up with bills greatly over budget Vintage was true to their time table (we extended it by adding some extra refurbishing). While some of the costs were higher than anticipated, many of the additional cost items were things we added or upgraded. Even when the project was completed, they had us go through all areas and make lists of any concerns. They had a youthful optimism and energy that is not always seen; it was a "can do " attitude instead of a "cannot do" one. I know that they have primarily built new homes, but they did a fantastic job with our renovation and so many people have asked who the builder was. I hope they are able to get more involved in remodeling. We could not have been more pleased!

He also kept us up to date with our spreadsheet so we knew what was coming in the way of expenses, trying to adhere to the budget. If there was something in question, he would send someone right away to make sure things were done correctly. We were pleased with the workers' speed , diligence, and their helpfulness to explain everything to us neophites who were not well versed with building terms.
