YES Solar Solutions provided their expertise and knowledge to be sure we received exactly what we we looking for in our quest to add solar to our residence. From initial questions regarding sizing of the system to even last minute questions regarding our selected panel type, they had answers and were able to back them up with documentation.

I would suggest giving the homeowner a timeline of the overall installation prior to the start of the install to be sure they will be able to have the flexibility when it comes time to need access to the interior of the house, etc. I would also note on this timeline that it is approximate and that there could be delays due to weather, etc. as some may hold the timeline to an exact representation otherwise.

Of the solar companies we contacted, Yes provided us with the most detailed and professional proposal for installing solar as part of a custom home my wife and I were having built. We ended up with a well-installed, cutting-edge 14.92 kWp installation that has operated well so far. Their coordination with our builder was not super-clear at times, but the company owners were receptive to that feedback and I expect they will identify and improve those processes going forward.

Yes Solar did an excellent job on the install and the process overall was smooth. I had ~12 quotes done before I made a decision. All the quotes were different system sizes, but Yes seemed to be the most thorough how they came to their calculation. I signed a contract 5+ months early because they knew about the Duke rebate before it was even announced. No other solar company even knew about a potential rebate in 2018. Yes Solar actually guaranteed me in the contract that if the Duke rebate wasn't available then Yes would honor the rebate themselves. That stood out from anyone I talked to. They are really plugged into the market and know the industry. They weren't secretive during the installed, I got the engineering plans and layouts. A new 295W REC panel was released before the install was scheduled. The original quote was for REC 290s, but they put the 295s on my roof and didn't even ask me for extra money. That comes out to almost an extra solar panel because I have 34 of them on the roof. The designers told me exactly where they needed to drill through the roof, where the conduits needed to go; I was included from start to finish. Of the quotes I got, Yes was the lowest cash price (if you take into account some quotes had smaller system sizes). I am happy and think that it was a good purchase and experience. I will look them up in the next few years for a battery.
