I was really happy with it.

I am assuming most of the chaos was due to being overwhelmed. There was so much damage around our neighborhood that jobs had to be turned down for some people. It has now been over a year since, so, I am going off memory.

They really did an excellent job! We are very happy with it. They were fast and efficient. They had a whole entire crew, and they were done by lunchtime. They started right in and did their job. We are very happy.

I am absolutely likely to recommend A-1 Construction and Restoration to a friend. They were fabulous. The company is wonderful. Albanelio was wonderful.

They put a new roof on a barn that is 100 years old, and they did a really nice job on it.

My son had a poor experience with A-1. However, my experience was good. I do understand that several subcontractors were used. My experience was 4-stars. They are still doing some work for me, beyond the original scope of work. They are working on it little by little. The weather had been an issue with the scope of work at hand.

Cody was great and delivered everything he promised.

I had to have them come back, and I think they were jerks when they came back.

Overall I am happy with the quality and workmanship of A-1 Construction!

I rarely give negative reviews, but overall I was more disappointed than satisfied. Ridge caps blew off, but it was cold and they weren’t able to get stuck down yet...however, ridge cap shingles should be a fastened with 4 nails each (in my opinion...I’m not sure what OC recommends) and they used two. I contracted for 6 feet of ice/water shield and they only installed three until I said something...luckily I caught that. I asked for the 6 nail pattern and I caught an installer not doing it properly and had to say something. I know they can’t find every erroneous nail at cleanup, but I found 6 in my driveway (you at least have to get that real good after the dumpster leaves), many on the roof just laying around after they left, and numerous in the gutters (they should run their magnet through the gutters at the end), and in the yard. I know they went around with the magnet roller, but it just seemed rushed/haphazard. The last ridge cap shingle will always have exposed nails and they should be covered with silicone or tar w some roof granuals but that wasn’t done & I had to do it. Shingles and metal pieces were left on the roof (you should always go a good walk around when the job is done). They installed two tubular skylights in the roof (I finished up the inside work) and when they screwed down the glass part they broke off one fastener and stripped out another. I had to end up silicone sealing the whole thing to keep it from blowing off in a strong wind and normally that isn’t necessary. They cared enough to ask for pictures so they could talk with their crew, which I provided. All these things were preventable, and it’s unfortunate I had this kind of experience with a Platinum OC Contractor.

I was very pleased that at a time when roofing companies were working at max capacity owing, to the August Derecho in Iowa, after calling many companies A-1 Roofing called me back within a day to schedule a time for work to begin, while no one from any of the other companies did. A representative showed up within a short period of time, surveyed the damage, presented us with a reasonable estimation, even contacting our insurance to discuss the quote when there was a question. They worked with me and our tree service's schedule to get the house re-roofed in a reasonable time frame during this most stressful period. Any questions we had during the process were addressed expeditiously. We would certainly recommend A-1 Roofing to our friends, relatives & neighbors in the future, in fact they re-roofed my mother-in-law's house to her complete satisfaction. Kudos to A-1-Roofing!!!

I would highly recommend this business again and again. They worked hard to meet all of my needs in a timely manor even given the bumps in the road with Covid delaying materials and such. The job got done quickly, but was done with great quality of work. Very pleased with the time they took to find exactly what we needed and more!
