I do not know anyone who needs a roof.
NA
This would be the last company I would refer someone to.
Started out great as I Saul. When the work was done, citrus contracting office personnel were persistent for payment. Once payment was received they changed the price and requested more money. I’m now in debt on a storm claim and they are withholding my roof warranty.
It's been over a year still hasn't passed final inspection because of a truss they repaired n never strapped down
Good overall experience.
I don't have a problem with Citrus. They did the roof. I have a problem with Angi. They lost my check from the insurance company. We had to reissue another check because they mishandled it. They found it after I canceled it. It took over 15 days for them to respond. They made promises and never followed through and never called back. I was happy with the installation, but the office was atrocious. They weren't rude, they just weren't organized. They didn't return calls in a timely fashion or answer questions. We were covered by insurance and they went by what they allowed. They never paid for the tarp company and it was in the contract. I had to pay out of pocket because they refused to pay it. I didn't ask for it, but they put it on. There was a disagreement over it. I don't understand their workings or their policies.
They were a little pricey.
It was a little challenging dealing with Angi Roofing LLC.
I do not want to relive the terrible experience again
10 months to complete a job that should have taken 4 days, maybe 5. No on-site supervisor. No response to text/email/phone calls. Illegally used subcontractor omitted from permit. Illegally used non-documented workers. Illegally filed a lien on property before any payment was due per contract. Total and complete customer service disaster. No apologies from anyone at company. Avoid at all cost.
We tell people not to use Angi Roofing, Citrus Contracting, Total Home Roofing; whatever name the company uses.
10 months to complete simple re-roof and re-gutter. Illegally placed lean on my house before job was complete. Illegally omitted subcontractor from county permit. Illegally used non-documented labor. Tried to bully me into paying for job before it was substantially complete. Lied to me repeatedly about having completed job. Used 3 subcontractors on gutters after telling me that they didn't have to do gutters even though contractually obligated to do so. Replaced supergutters with much cheaper K-gutters, failed to complete job. Broke solar tube and tried to pretend it was broken before (thank god for pictures and insurance company that makes adjusters go on the roof prior to approving job. No site supervisor ever present at the house. I had to check subcontractors' work then complain repeatedly to Citrus to get them to come back and finish the job. Patti Morgan knowingly and illegally placed a lien on my home. Patti Morgan knowingly and illegally filed an affidavit omitting subcontractors who had not been paid for the job on my home stating that all work was complete and filed a lien on my house in October without notifying me when she knew that roof was incomplete (had to send a team out to redo the dead valleys & the solar tube). Patti Morgan threatened me & ignored contract and Marion County permit in an effort to coerce me into payment when the job had yet to be completed. Citrus assured me all roof work would be completed by direct employees, but used sub-contractors instead, and refused to provide a final affidavit of completion stating which subcontractors had been used and that they had been paid in full. My understanding is that Ludovici Construction is still owed money on my house, but Patti Morgan will not provide and affidavit with their name on it because it would prove that Citrus illegally omitted them from the Marion County permit. NO ONE HAS APOLOGIZED TO ME AND CITRUS HAS NOT PROVIDED ANY COMPENSATION FOR MAKING ME SPEND 10 MONTHS FOLLOWING UP ON THEIR NON-PERFORMANCE, COORDINATING SUBCONTRACTOR APPOINTMENTS AND PERFORMING THE ROLE OF A CITRUS SITE SUPERVISOR. MARION COUNTY HAS TOLD ME TO FILE A COMPLAINT REQUIRING A HEARING AND REVIEW OF WHAT HAPPENED. DOES ANGI ROOFING WANT TO REACH OUT TO ME BEFORE I DO SO?
PUNCTUAL ;RESPONSIVE
Will not recommend.
No customer service, have left 5 messages.
Great crews quality work.
Would not recommend due to the numerous problems we had.
Nope
Ashton is the only person from the organization who was in communication with me from beginning to end and made sure I was well taken care of.
All around, the service was outstanding.
They did a good job replacing my roof. They were organized and they make sure that they sweep the area for nails. No complaints other than I have to deal with multiple project managers as they keep on getting fired or keep on leaving. But eventually, the last one, I Forgot his name, did kept me informed about the status of the project.
Total Home Roofing was quick and efficient. I really appreciate the timely manner in which they took care of the roof. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a roof!
I don't have any problems with the work that was performed. I do have issues with the collections staff who called each week to ask for my deductible, which was paid upfront. I had to send copies of the documentation to two different individuals before they stopped accusing me of not paying. When I told the 3rd person that I had emailed the documentation, she said that the representative that handled my account was no longer there and they didn't have access to her emails. You would think that a business with a collections department would keep better notes.
They damaged my fence, lanai screens and driveway when replacing my roof back in August. It is now November and they still have not done anything the make things right and repair the damages they created!
If you are wise, you will never use Total Home Roofing and Construction. Beware.
This company is totally unreliable. Their workforce does what they want, and when they want. The company supervisor doesn't respond to any questions, and you are left totally in the dark about what is happening on your property. You are not allowed to talk to them and they don't speak English. The supervisor is around most of the time for questions.
Complete and total customer service disaster. Agreed to terms on project in March. It's November and they have yet to complete the roof. They have yet to complete the gutters. Angie's List bought a couple companies and merged them and they sell services then use subcontractors to do all the work. The person in charge of interfacing between the subcontractors and THRoofing will not respond to text/email/phone calls. The billing department falsified an affidavit of completion to try and coerce me into paying when they knew the roofers had to come back and remove and re-shingle several sections of the roof. They broke a solar tube, cut a hole that is far too large for the solar tube and just blew off an appointment to reinstall re-plywood/paper/shingle that section today. No one has returned my calls. There are several nice people in the office that deal with customers, but the communication is so poor between departments and between the subcontractors/Citrus/THRoofing/Angie's List that from my perspective, nothing gets done and the project on my house has dragged on for literally 9 months. The first 3 months consisted of them filing and re-filing permits incorrectly. The past 6 months has consisted of trying to get them back to the house to finish the job, while telling the billing department at Citrus that THRoofing has yet to complete and perform on the contract, the roof hasn't passed inspection and that the fifteen people I have to copy on every email every week all know that it's a work in progress. This has been and continues to be the worst contractor experience I have ever had to endure in 30 years of home ownership. It's unbelievable. There's been a ton of turnover at the companies that were acquired to make this sales organization happen and no one seems to take responsibility for anything. Run, do not walk, away from this poorly organized and dysfunctional sales organization that uses subcontractors for everything but can not manage the volume of the jobs they have sold with any sort of professional follow-through.
Overall, they were overpriced. The insurance company expected $28,000, and with competing roofing companies, I could have had it done cheaper. If you ask me to recommend them to anyone else, I would probably not.
What stood out to me was how clean they were as far as the employees. They cleaned up after themselves, and you wouldn't even know they were there except for them working on the roof. They cleaned up very well after themselves in the backyard, front yard, and side yard. They also worked well knowing that we have a dog.
The crew that installed the roof there were two men and two women. They did the entire thing. It was amazing how much the lady did. They did such a good job and worked so hard. They worked from 8-7, they worked such a long time and finished in a day and a half. They took a nap under my tree. They were very nice to me. One of them spoke English. The one that oversaw it was very nice as well.
I would not recommend the company. You don't want to go through the hassle of not getting callbacks and very, very, very, poor customer service.
The job was completed ahead of schedule. My new roof looks great. No problems whatsoever.
I was in the roofing business from 1990-2004. I never experienced anyone as organized and good as Total Home Roofing. It was a very smooth operating process.
They do this through the insurance, so people who want to get their roof done, use them because they are the only ones in town that accept insurance and take care of everything by submitting the claim. I am disappointed in the quality of the work. If it weren't through insurance, I wouldn't recommend them.
The team did an excellent job communicating every visit. Mauricio Cuero was very helpful when he showed up to survey the job after it was completed. He assisted me with a few questions I had and was very professional. Thanks Mauricio!
Pretty good job on roof. Project manager a text away. Crew no sprecken zie lingry. Not one person on the crew spoke English. A little unnerving. The rains came in. My bathroom got flooded. They will fix at some point. Been a few months now I gather. Communication could be better. Some of original selling points/requests were not translated to crew. The crew who doesn’t speak English. So… we got a nice roof! Did feel a little left out of the process.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
I am not likely to recommend them because of the failed inspections and lack of communication.
They did a good job. I am not complaining about that. I'm just complaining about the business side and them not taking the money.
Everyone who wore a uniform or worked for the government should stay from this company.
Horrible company to work with. They did 6,000 worth of damage to the soffits, facia, and gutters to the house on top of coming in 5k over budget. They promised to show us before and after pictures of any wood they had to replace. They replaced 36 sheets of plywood, yet can't produce a single picture as to why they did it. They refuse to fix the damages they caused. They didn't clean up their mess when they were done. They couldn't even be bothered to run a magnet over the driveway so we got two flat tires from it. They have been completely unresponsive and unprofessional. They left the house in such bad condition my 85 year old father-in-law, who is in a wheelchair, couldn't even use his front door. And the crew leader "Joe" was just flat rude to my father-in-law. Any time a question was asked about why they weren't doing something the only response was "refer to #7 on your contract".
I am a general contractor in Florida. I've been averaging 15-25 homes a year mainly in a high velocity zone. I was on the roof as they were working when they were doing inspection on the roof to see if there was rooting wood up there. Also, when they were doing flashing, and as they were nailing my roof off, I was there. I gave them a 4 star for everything they have done. They were off my roof in about 2-3 days tearing it off and repairing it. With my background as a superintendent owner of a business, I highly recommend them. I've been a general contractor for 48 years.
No, I would not recommend them to a friend.
No, I would not recommend them to a friend.
I am very disappointed and so regretful that I hired this company. As of 08/18/2023 the work that they were contracted to do is still incomplete! On 10/25/2022 I was solicited on social media after posting in a local Facebook group looking for a reliable contractor. I expected a few messages but not such a promising message offering to meet all of my construction needs. To my surprise I was contacted by Citrus Contractors, but I was told that they are owned by Angi, as in Angie’s list (I didn’t know that they are also Total Home Roofing at that time). They said that they can definitely do all of the work I had described in my post and even offer to help with my insurance claim. I thought it was perfect because I had so much damage in so many different areas of my home and I knew I would need a lot of different types of trade work in order to get my home back to how it was prior to the storm. Unfortunately, it has not been perfect. It hasn’t even been okay..its been a nightmare that has been going on for almost a year. They have caused more damage, extensive damage that wasn’t there after the hurricane, and are now refusing to fix it. They are also charging me the full amount of my contract without doing most of the work, and are cheeky enough to put it in writing. They put a lien on my house after knowing that my roof failed inspection, but will not communicate with me. The roofers that they sent were all drunk and I have video proof of them drinking alcohol while working on my roof. They’ve left such a mess at my house that a roofing nail embedded in my husband’s leg while he was mowing the lawn, he was out of work for a week fighting the infection that it caused. They have fired almost every person that has had any contact with me. I do not recommend this company to anybody. They are horrible! Not only do they do bad work, but the refusal to communicate with me as a customer is so disrespectful. At this point, I may have to hire a lawyer in order to be made whole and to have the lien removed from my house. A lien that was put on for the roof that failed all three inspections and had to be replaced. My home has been in a constant state of construction since October of last year. This should not happen to anyone. This is not how a good contractor does business. Do not hire this contractor, in fact, put them on a list of terrible contractors that no one should hire..be warned!
They did a good job. Overall, I was satisfied with the work, timeline, and ability to meet their schedule.
Stay away and find a company that knows how to put on a roof, so they don't mess up your house, or find a company that is insured and will own up to the problem that they created.
Buyer beware, make sure that you're clear on the contract that you have with them. You need to make sure they will follow through on promises that they make. They don't follow through on what they say they will, but the workmanship is good.
I am still waiting for them to address issues that were not resolved at the time of the install of the roof.
