During the buying process, it was a bit of a struggle. After I bought the house, it’s been
We are very pleased with our Avonley Home. The build quality is excellent, the sales and construction managers are available and responsive. Would definitely purchase or recommend an Avonley/Reece home to anyone moving to the area.
Brendan Clarady is the non-salesman, salesman. He treated us like friends/family and cared about our wants/needs. From the initial home tour and beyond closing, Brendan has gone above and beyond to make sure he promptly answers questions and concerns. Whether through email, text or calls, he was determined to promptly get me the information I needed at every stage in the new home building experience. I cannot thank Brendan enough for his hard work and dedication!
Bryndi Kissman, designer extraordinaire, provided guidance, suggestions, and shared in the excitement in designing our new home. We adore Bryndi!
Jesse Torres took time to explain the various aspects of the house from electrical, appliances, warranty, etc. He communicated and worked with our schedules to complete close out items. Thank you, Jesse!
With so many changes in my life, I am beyond thankful to know that I did not have to worry about my Avonley home buying experience!! Thank you for caring for and taking care of my family!
Avonley has a variety of floor plans and finishes.
Everything went smoothly in the purchase of our home. They made a process that is usually stressful enjoyable.
AVONLEY Home, By Reece, falls short of promised excellence.
I moved into a brand-new home built by Avonley, by Reece, last May.
The Welcome binder states the following:
"Your home was built with Simple Comfort, Functionality, Quality, Integrity.
We are dedicated to those we serve. It is our desire that your Avonley Home supports these aspects in your family's life. As your family settles into your new home, please let us know if our family can assist you in any way. Welcome home, Bryan and Jennifer Reece!
Avonley by Reece, boasts of a team of qualified professionals with years of experience, claiming to offer the best homebuying experience.”
I am disappointed that the quality of construction I've experienced in my home does not reflect this claim.
The Reece team offers a warranty process used after closing that is efficient. I regret that I have had to reach out through the system for many issues that SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE RIGHT WAY TO BEGIN WITH!
*Issues with the installation of the trim were evident from the early stages of construction, and instead of addressing the issues properly, Avonley, by Reece chose to simply caulk and paint over the many gaps. We were told "That's how Avonley does it." The installation certainly does not reflect that a qualified professional installed it.
*The kitchen island featured a "swinging door" style microwave, requiring user to squat down to use it and see the controls. When we raised this concern, we were told, "Thats how Avonley does it." This type of microwave installed in the island certainly does not reflect functionality.
*The fireplace installation was noticeably crooked and despite bringing this to their attention, the builder refused to rectify the issue. Subsequently, when the weather got cold and I started using the fireplace with the gas logs I had installed, the tiles surrounding the fireplace began falling off and shattering to the floor. Avonley sent a representative to repair the tiles, who revealed that they were installed incorrectly using the wrong adhesive. Again, quality was not reflected in the installation of the tiles.
*The garden tub in the master bath, developed a hole in the side. When the representative came to repair the hole, he revealed that when he repaired the hole the first time, early in the building process, the tub had a big hole all the way through it. I explained my concern and he said that he would do his best to repair it, so it doesn't happen again. Not feeling confident about the repair, I reached out to the Reece representative, and he stated that they would stand behind it. I guess that time will tell. I would not agree that integrity was present in installing a tub that already had a hole all the way through it.
*The plants in the front flower beds and the tree in the front yard were a failure. The tree that they planted, all but 4 of the shrubs, and the lantanas, all died, even though I watered and fertilized them diligently. Because these plants were "alive" at closing, they were not covered under warranty.
Throughout these challenges, whenever we pointed out a deficiency, Avonley by Reece's response was consistently dismissive stating, "This is how Avonley does things."
If you are considering buying a Reece, home, I would suggest that you be very much aware of discrepancies in quality, functionality, and integrity. The promised excellence and personalized experience are far from guaranteed, and you may find yourself dealing with subpar construction and unsatisfactory responses to your concerns.
I will move past my one-year warranty period with extreme caution and concern.
After meeting the new superintendent I would recommend but before that no.
It kept updsted
Brendan and Bryan made the process easy.
I am basically satisfied with the house and builder was attentive to all concerns before closing. Most "blue taped" items were fixed before closing and we were promised that remaining items would be taken care of swiftly after closing.....This has however still not happened and builder is now dragging their feet with what strikes me as poor excuses only...In hindsight, trusting them to solve outstanding issues after closing was a bad call.
Our experience with Avonley Homes during the purchase process was smooth and hassle-free. We were pleased to find that they were willing to make some of the requested changes and were accommodating. However, after moving in, we have faced some issues with the house that have not been resolved in a timely manner. It has been months since we reported these problems, and we are disappointed with the lack of action taken.
We are happy where we built our home and with how smoothie the process was to get started. There were some setbacks with product availability but when that came up, the builder communicated with us on delays. We would recommend Avonley Homes.
