After my husband went up on the roof, he found water bottles in the gutters. That made me angry. I don't feel comfortable recommending them to my friends because of that.

I like the look and the thermal properties of the Owens Corning Shingles. The heat load on our house has decreased a lot from the tile roof that leaked before. Baker roofing was very good, competitively priced and was understanding of the need to work with the two associations that have design approval authority over roof type and design. I received several comments from neighbors about how nice the job looked and one neighbor asked for a referral.

It would have been nice to know that the dry rot estimate came in at $1400. I wasn't expecting that. They did work with me to take $200 off, but I wasn't expecting it. It would have been nice to know that it could have been that expensive--because that was shocking.

If you want to pay more and not get any better service, that's your business. If you want to save a lot of money and get great service and the best materials as I did that's smart business. Many homes in my area are using the same model of roofing material that rhymes with residential but I did investigation to find an even better and heaver material, Woodmoor by Owens Corning installed by the Baker Roofing team on time and as specified in the contract.
