We had a shower install with tub removal and also a new bathtub and walls in a 2nd bathroom. They were done in 1 3/4 days-including the cleanup. We love our new bathrooms and may even get our 3rd one done soon.

This is NOT a simple overfit or cladding of the original shower! Rather, it’s a complete stripping of all shower materials down to the studs with a reconstruct using high-quality materials. In this case that included bars installed after careful measurements for height and location for a senior-citizen couple.

Our experience with Bath Planet was fantastic. Greg came out to explain the process, materials, and costs involved. Very clear without any pressure. We wanted a walk-in shower to replace our old 1950’s steel tub. We chose material and fixtures to fit our existing bathroom. We agreed on the price and set an install date. Our installer, Kelly was on time, professional, and clean. The job was completed in a day and a half. Kelly kept us briefed on the process and helped us complete our beautiful install. I've gotten nothing but compliments from my friends who've visited. When my bath is completely finished (painting, flooring, etc.) it is going to be a real showpiece. The installer, Matt, did a good job of installing the bathtub, surround and hardware. Unfortunately the faucet cartridge did not work properly, the water came out of the shower when the faucet was turned on when the diverter to the shower was down. At first it was explained as a water pressure problem, but that made no sense as our other plain Jane bathtub faucets had the same water pressure and water never came out the shower unless the diverter was pulled up to direct the water to the shower head. There were many problems with the faucet and shower heads working properly. The tub manufacture installed the wrong suction cover on the tub, so the whirlpool motor was not getting enough water which was causing a pulsating affect. Since I have owned a whirlpool type tub for 17 years, I did not think that pulsation was correct. I contacted the sales person, Stacy. She did not return my call. I had asked the installer about it and he said he would check. He did not know if it should pulsate either. Since no one responded from the company about this pulsating, I ended up calling the tub manufacture myself and making calls to the North Carolina and California distributors, I was given instructions to remove the suction cover. Since the tub was less than a week old, I called Matt, to come over to remove it. He did and the tub worked properly, but I needed to have the proper suction cover. I was the one who had to contact the distributor to get them to send the correct cover. Then my husband installed it. We had not been able to use this tub for a week. We had a 6" wall removed and insulation was not put into the space so there was cold air coming into the bathroom. Matt came out and put some insulation in the areas he could. Charley, the owner, came out and spent a couple of hours working on the faucet so that it would work correctly and he did install more insulation in the spaces that he could get to. There was still cold air coming in under the tub, so Mat came back out and put insulation in the hole under the tub where the drain line came through. Hopefully that will solve the problem of the extreme amount of cold air that is coming into the room from under the tub. The tub is beautiful and now the jets work perfectly. We are still having a problem that the water comes out of the tub spout and splashes against the overflow drain and up onto the decking, backing up onto the wall. I have a terrible feeling that I will have to replace the caulking more often or use a wash cloth to keep the water contained and not let it back up on the bathtub decking. Matt did try to find a longer tub spout, but was told they do not make a longer tub spout with a diverter. I would not use this company again to install a whirlpool tub. . Mat has been as helpful as he can be, but has his limitations with what is available. Stacy made the sale and wasn't interested in the project any longer. She had never sold this tub before and knew very little about it. Unfortunately she was not interested in coming over to see what problems we were experiencing or to visualize this tub so she would have more knowledge about it if another customer were to want a whirlpool tub. I appreciated the owner coming over and spending the time that he did correcting what he could.

In September of 2016 I decided that I wanted to have a walk-in spa tub installed to replace a shower enclosure that was not being used. I did some research on-line for companies in my area (Spokane) that do this kind of work and found that "The Bath Planet" of Spokane was highly recommended. I therefore decided to go with them as my contractor. An appointment was made and their sales representative came out and measured the space where the tub would go and went over the tub and wall finishes with me. He showed me a product brochure which seemed to have enough information and pictures about the tub as far as what I would want to know. He did tell me that they only deal with one walk-in tub brand, and only one model of that brand. He also said that there were no options as far as different fixtures as there is only one style and one finish. These issues should have raised a red flag for me right there, but I wanted a walk-in tub and I wanted the best company in the area to install one. He also told me that "The Bath Planet" had just a few months ago put in a low step walk-in shower for a couple just a few houses down from me and that I should go down and talk with them about their experience for their installation. Well I said ok, let's do it, and signed on the dotted line and put half down to get the process started. The salesman said that a couple of installers would be back in a month and a half with the tub to do the installation. A few days later I went down to my neighbors house to ask them about their experience with "The Bath Planet" and the product they had installed. Well they raved about their walk-in shower, the quality of the workmanship and the 2 guys who did the installation. I thought "well this is alright and a good sign for me." The only problem as I found out at the conclusion of the second day of the install, was that I had been comparing an apple to an orange as far as a walk-in shower and a walk-in spa tub go.The two guys who came and did the install were top notch as they really knew their stuff. They were courteous, careful, professional, and thorough. The wall finish above the tub is very nice as it blends in very well with the rest of my bathroom. That's the good that I have to say about my experience with this installation. Now for the bad part, which has all to do with the walk-in tub product itself. It's not that the tub doesn't work, and work well, it's just the design touches of the tub that are lacking. Besides not being able to choose the fixture style and finish, there are a couple of other things that are poorly designed. The tub has a feature called "color chromatherapy, which is colored lights in the water that continually change between three colors. It's a nice idea, but there is no control that lets the user select one color if they would like to use the feature that way. It's not a real big deal, but it could have been designed better. The next issue is a bigger problem however. The tub has ten water jets that can provide a hydrotherapy massage. That's a good thing, but only to a certain extent. There is no control for the amount of speed or pressure of the water that the jets shoot out, like low, medium, and high settings. It is all one speed, high. Instead of coming out of the tub like you have had a nice relaxing massage, if you use this feature for too long, you come out feeling as if you have been beat up. I feel this is a serious design flaw by this tub manufacturer. It's too bad that a company that seems to be as good as "The Bath Planet" is, has hitched their wagon to this walk-in spa tub manufacturer. I think that only offering a customer one model of walk-in spa tub is a bad decision by a contractor. But in this case the problem is on me as that was my choice to go with a contractor that only gives a customer one option. You would think that when you spend over $15K, you would be able to get exactly what you want and a higher quality product by paying attention to the details. Buyer beware!
