I initiated with them in January to get my roof repaired. It wasn't repaired until July. I had to chase them by calling and calling to get someone to look at my roof. When they finally contacted me, I was informed by the project manager that their company was going through a change. Everything was up in arms and things were not being done. Everything was being backlogged. I can give them an out because they had this big change. That information wasn't given to me until the start of the roof repair, which was 6 months later. In the meant time, I didn't know the status or when it would start. It was really rough. It was the worst experience, and I wasn't satisfied. Once they did the work, it was excellent. The project manager was exceptional. Everything before that, caused me a lot of stress. They had to come put tarps on my roof. It was just a mess.
Stay away! They will do more damage than you already have. They are awful communicators and liars.
I would highly recommend Belfor to anyone. I felt completely comfortable with the crew. They were dedicated, fantastic, and did everything on time.
Things took longer than what we were given the estimate for, and there was some confusion along the way that extended the time.
Belfor - Springfield was wonderful, and so was their subcontractor that they recommended.
They were good, young men who came in and did the work and took care of everything. It was of high quality and well-done.
I am still in the midst of things with them. They charged me for some stuff that they didn't do.
There was no plan or scheduled process told to me past the demo by the mitigation company. To6ally unorganized and demeaning person in charge of my reconstruction when I would stand my ground on an issue. I really feel the professionalism of the initial person handling my job had no organizational skills whatever. It was then handed over to an intern to the recon side of the business with little to no guidance. We worked well together though and he understood my concerns when nearly every contractor brought in had to return to redo or clean up the job they did adding extra days. A 3-4 month job ended up taking just a couple weeks short of a year before I signed off. I began a day by day journal on day 1, because I had never experienced this type of demolition inside my house, having studs and rafters staring me in the face for several months. It needed to be done right and I had to monitor. Along the way there were many hang ups and gaps in time of work being performed.
I would never recommend Belfor based on my personal experience. The workers on the jobsite were great, but the management is completely incompetent. Having our account sent to collections without the benefit of a phone call or any other communication was inexcusable. And it occurred because Belfor DID NOT BILL my insurance carrier for covered work.
I'm happy with the work they did.
Worst experience of our lives! Still traumatized by the awful treatment, poor quality of work and all the lies they told us. The job took forever. I was so tired of dealing with them that I finally just gave up and signed off on the work. We then sold the house! Still can't believe that Allstate contracts with this terrible company! They are a joke!!! They charged our insurance company for things that they never did! Run!! Do not use them!!
We felt we were treated really badly. I would not recommend them for the rebuilding process. I would say that I would recommend them for the initial packing things up and securing the house after the damage. I would recommend for the initial emergency response. I am so mad I would not recommend them for anything.
