Blyss Construction installed new exterior siding & windows for our home along with an extensive renovation of our upper and lower outside decks. Their work was outstanding . . . high quality craftsmanship and materials and the multi-phase project was completed on schedule by Vitaliy and sons (the primary crew). One small, but very important detail for clients, was Yuriy K (project manager) or Serge (project manager/foreman) or Yuriy B, (the owner) would answer the phone or call back timely whenever we had a question or request. Furthermore, Yuriy Blyshchyk (the owner) backed up the company’s reputation for high quality work and high standards with action (not just words), even when it meant replacing an expensive beam that was different than the contract called for (which had been mistakenly delivered & installed). The salesman, John, was very thorough. He took his time. He broke it down into different pieces. It wasn't like adding a bunch of things to the price. He was sincere, open, and honest, and he made sure there were going to be no surprises for either party. He was thorough.

Work was good and fast, but non-responsive when I asked them to clean the roof after their work was completed. They left a lot of black sticky debris on my roof and never responded to me when I asked them to clean up their mess left behind. We could see this black stick debris on our roof from our view window. Extremely disappointed that they didn't respond to my texts and emails.

All workers, always working every minute they are on the job.

I have already recommended them to a number of people, including my mother. My mother recently completed her own construction project with them.

I'd have a thought time recommending Blyss to anyone.

On going communication could have been better. I was disappointed that Yuri, head of the company, who never came to hear my concerns especially at the end of the job when a final punch list had to be addressed.

Yuriy Blyshchyk is a very knowledgeable project manager/estimator, and answered my questions in great detail on the work that would being performed. I had no surprises on change orders for additional work that needed to be performed.

The did a great job. It all, looks good. The workers worked really hard.

We had experience with a number of different Blyss workers during our install, and every single person was hard working, professional and had a strong work ethic. We wouldn't hesitate to use Blyss again for any other projects we have in the future.

The project hasn't started yet due to all the rain we've had so I'm unable to give a full review or fill out this survey but I will after the job is done. What I can say is that working with Yuri to pull this all together so far has been good and I'm fairly confident that the project itself will be a good experience as well. M.T.

On time

I would like to give a 5-star review, because the workmanship was excellent. But the job started late, materials arrived late, workmen showed up on one day but not the next (they were at another job site), communication could have been so much better, and the job dragged on for weeks and weeks. The roof subcontractor was definitely not a plus - I had to call Blyss' salesman & job manager to convince them that they were supposed to replace the roofs on both the house and garage, and had I not been there, only the roof on the house would have been removed on tear-off day. It was obvious that they were overbooked and understaffed, and it really affected the timeline of my home renovation. I hardly knew from week to week what day they would be coming.

The crew that installed our Hardie siding were true craftsmen. They took the extra time to seal all joints and electrical fixtures. Our house is a non- standard three story structure with many different angles on the side of a hill. This required a number of unique approaches to accomplish the installation.
