The process went smoothly but I was disappointed with the crew that did the actual installation. They showed total disregard to my property by shoveling shingles off into shrubs, tearing a window screen and putting supplies in a garden which broke down flowers and plants. A couple of the installers started out drinking beer but I think they were terminated after we complained.

Efficient,timely,fair repair of a number of shingles

Bordner personnel closely inspected my roof for required repairs. I was kept informed of the proposed work and pricing. The work was scheduled and performed on time and to my satisfaction. Bordner quality control personnel inspected the work after the work was completed to assure a properly completed job. I will continue to use Bordner for my roofing needs.

Scheduling wasn't done correctly so that teams came in the wrong order on different days. Initial build quality was very poor causing damage to the house. Nobody stopped to ask or question if they should continue or consult with me. I had to ask twice to have someone come back out to pick up all the trash, debris, and nails that were left around the house, to the point I bought my own magnet to ensure that leftover nails were not left behind. Was initially quoted an additional fee to cover up the damage that was created, however the project manager took care of this instead. This whole process took almost 5 months for something that I expected to take a few weeks to a month instead.

My roofing expert, Tyler Vennard, is outstanding. He is collaborative, knowledgeable, and most important listens to my needs. I started researching solar panels for my home and was relieved that Bordner has a working relationship with a local and reputable solar installer. Bordner provided me documentation that my roof shingle warranty is still valid if panels are installed correctly. Bordner collaborated with my solar installer to ensure the panel installation did not compromise my roof. I am a Bordner Prime member. Tyler has inspected my roof and attic twice for my peace of mind that I have no roof leaks. My solar system was installed in May 2024. My electricity bill has reduced over 80% during the hot summer months. I also have solar back up batteries so I do not experience power outages. This system is a much better option than a Generac backup system since the panels provide return on investment every day.

Great news, folks! Bordner Home Improvement is the company to call for roofing issues - they have earned their great reputation!! My advice, tell them you would prefer to work with Troy (sales consultant) if possible. He was here to meet and work with my insurance adjuster and be my advocate. He did the same excellent job for my daughter a year or so ago. Troy answered all my questions and explained things I didn't understand in a knowledgeable, professional, patient and friendly manner. Jose was my project manager and the work and the clean up was all done promptly and expertly. I have no negative comment to add and that is unusual for me! I am more than pleased and thankful for the great job and great people at Bordner!!

They explained everything with us in advance. We knew exactly what was going to happen and when. We were informed what we needed to do and when. Everything went smoothly and we are very happy with our new roof!

My coordinator, Troy Wahlborg, took extra pains to coordinate the shingle color with the paint and trim colors of the house.

The house looks a lot better from the outside due to the siding job. I guess it's a good value because of the materials and workmanship guarantees. However, based on what I observed during the house wrap installation stage, I have concerns about how adequately things that are now covered up were installed, including how much flashing tape was used and how much, if any, the house wrap overlaps at seams as specified. Because it's something I can't see, it's going to be a source of anxiety in the future wondering if wood is deteriorating underneath the fiber cement board siding. There is peace of mind in knowing I won't have to pay for repairs if the installation was inadequate, but that doesn't stop the concern about needing to do another major project down the road.

I had a roof inspection done. Even without the DIMBY discount rate I paid for it, the price was reasonable. Bordner made me aware of issues on my roof not visible from the ground. I REALLY appreciated the fact that they didn’t try to steer me towards replacing the roof being it is 13 years old.

The young man did the work by himself and was completely done in three days! His work was beautiful and well done!

Bryan Brower was good to work with but whoever was managing the work was not good to work with. The contact for the work at the house I own with my daughter (Michael?) was not good. Still waiting for a call back months later but have moved on to another contractor. I was also told at the initial meeting that Bordner does not hire outside companies to perform the work that all roofers are W-2'd through Bordner. Was also told that each installer has been certified by Owens Corning, but I find it hard to believe that each employee of Lopez Roofing is certified to install Owens Corning shingles. To sum it up I would never recommend Bordner.

I first encountered your representative when he was inspecting my neighbors home. When I asked if he could also inspect my roof that day his reply was a friendly, "Of course I'd be happy to as soon as I'm finished here. " Your representative took the time to sit on my patio with me to discuss suggested work. He also took extra time to look over my house and concerns I had about possible trouble spots. When asked about any discounts, he happily responded to my questions. He inspired confidence in my decision to work with Bordner when he explained that they were a family run company who had been around for many years.

Bordner's staff was very helpful in explaining the process. The only thing that I didn't understand about the roofing process was the replacement of the screens on the gutter. Replacing these screens are difficult for me to do because I don't have the equipment to do it.

Overall, I am concerned with the longevity of the installation.

I understand headaches/inconveniences with construction are normal, but do not feel like this was a “five-star” experience.
