When we decided to modernize our house, we knew that selecting the best contractor would be our primary concern. Our house was constructed in the late 1800s, and contains intricate filigree and other architectural adornments under the eaves, and across the front porch. We wanted modernize and upgrade the exterior, while preserving as much of the original 19th century look as possible.
We chose The Braga Brothers’ construction firm because they laid out a detailed plan before even lifting a finger on our house. We knew the subcontractor who was going to provide the filigree and other adornments, the electrical subcontractor, the foundation subcontractor… every separate aspect of the job was given to people who specialize in just that one area of construction.
As far as the main job of residing the house, we were told that, due to its age, the house would require re-sheathing in plywood, and we were told this before work began. I appreciate that we were not given a “lowball” estimate before being hit with the surprise expense of additional work that should have been foreseen and included from the beginning.
We are thoroughly satisfied with the construction work on our home. In every interaction we were treated as if we were members of their own family. The entire Braga family demonstrated a cheerful and enthusiastic attitude toward beautifying our home into one that we are proud to live in. We completely highly recommend the entire Braga Brother Team for anyone who really cares about the work to be done on their home.
