Over all The company is under good management. Was it a turn Key job, No. But even if it had delays the work was done and done to satisfaction.

Workmanship is superior but communication is lacking

The sales process was professional and very detailed. Design alternatives were introduced and some were actually used. Timing was on-again, off-again. Once started the installation proceeded fairly smoothly. However, it was sometimes difficult to communicate regarding questions and planned completion. It seemed that the process was about 95% completed for a long time. As completion neared, Maclain (I believe) came to the rescue and got the "last 5%" completed in a couple of weeks. Would I recommend to someone looking for an installer? That's a question that I would answer "yes." The positives outweighed the negatives. Cost-wise, Carp's Complete Exteriors was very expensive.

Despite some weather issues that caused minor delay, Carp's install was swift and complete. The house looks great.

Overall we are satisfied with the work and felt the crew was the shining star with our experience- we could tell they were very knowledgeable and professional. We did have one issue during our project related to windows but Chad was quick to help resolve in a way that satisfied us. Our biggest issue is related to communication before and after the main portion of our project (we are still waiting on somethings for final completion). During the few weeks we had people on site communication was great but prior to the start we did get an email that our project was about to start and we’d be hearing from someone about material and dumpster drop off then a few days later our materials showed up in our driveway without notice and I had a very difficult time getting my car out of the garage so I could park it in the street out of the way. Not a great way to start a project. Since the bulk of our work has been completed ( almost 2 months) we still haven’t heard from anyone about getting our outside lights reinstalled - I was told you all would take care of it, yet I still have a light sitting in my driveway, on my deck, and in my yard. Our garage door flashings were installed with the wrong color and I understand the right color wasn’t in stock and was told it had been ordered and once it is an easy fix, but again 2 months later no update. I was called about 3 weeks ago about our window finally being in and they had someone out that day to measure - since then no updates. Also there is a new customer portal that I was excited to use hoping it would make the experience smoother. I tried to use it in the beginning but it became very obvious that the team was not going to use it which was disappointing.

If you expect work to be done immediately be prepared to be disappointed. They are very busy. When I called with a roof leak they came the next day and parched it. I would recommend them to a rich friend. I got three bids for this job. They were the highest. The other two kept leaving stuff out that I know needed to be done.

The work is good (though incomplete at this point) and the house looks great. The project manager and office staff are terrible at communicating though. I feel like I was constantly having to chase down answers to my questions. I know that they aren't busy but it felt like I was constantly having to push the work forward. The project manager never kept promised dates and never actually responded to messages.

They were creative and enthusiastic about the design. The pride in their work was evident watching them complete the project.

Carp's is world class at following up on your questions and concerns, and they stand behind their work. During a project, there's a fair amount of behind the scenes detail work (coordination) going on. It's no accident that a dumpster arrives only a day in advance of their crew, and it's gone quickly thereafter. Then, while the crew is on site, everybody's working hard, ... no goofing off. And you have the cell phone number of your own project manager. Questions about what's happening? He's on it, or he's already got an explanation for you.
