Terrible project management. Terrible communication. Lack of knowledge. Project has taken more than double the initial timeline, and final inspection is still not complete. I have had to GC much of this project myself and communicate daily or weekly with the city permit office, contractors, and champion management to push this project along. It has been an extremely frustrating and exhausting experience. This process started in March of this year. The project was projected to be completed in July. It is now November, and we are still awaiting final inspections and corrections to electrical work that was done incorrectly. There were no weather delays, no shortage of material or labor. No legitimate reason for the delays. The only reason for delays and mistakes was lack of communication, supervision and attention by Champion.
Very likely to recommend if one is able to handle the wait time
We are extremely pleased with our new windows.
The flooring was not done by the contractor as promised and contract.
Overall experience wasn’t great even though end product is solid. The process, timing and expectation management couldn’t have been much worse without me cancelling.
We love our new windows. Good quality and beautiful product. We can have to window coverings open during the day and enjoy the sunshine without worrying about too much heat.
Thank you Champion Windows.
Everything so far seems to be built well and looks great. Should be a nice addition to the house for entertaining and just enjoying in general.
For sure, extremely happy with the well rounded experience from the knock on my door to the final Thank you of placing my windows!
Such an easy process. Clean, polite, very knowledgeable installers.
These are fabulous windows. I had windows from Champion put in upstairs ten years ago, and I went back and had them done downstairs. They hold up well, and are easy to open. They are great windows.
Schedule--took over one year to finish
Didn't do the work the way I wanted. Ended up with ugly EMT conduits for the electrical wires while I was promised a neat look. I offered to help by removing rocks out of way but constriction manager declined
Mistakes in measurements. Center column was off by several inches
Electrical work was not up to code. I found out last week that they stripped romex (NM-B) and put it inside EMT. This not code compliant. They were supposed to use THHN.
Door height is not lining up with other wall
The installer damaged low voltage wiring I had electrician install for sensors. I lost time/effort and ~$100 of cost for sensors/wires
I had a bunch of problems with my installation because of a local contractor, and not only did Champion make good and get a better contractor, but they resolved everything to 100 % satisfaction, and I was grateful for that. The end product was exactly what I wanted.
slow to respond and took three guys into the night to complete install of windows
We have now put Champion Windows in two buildings on our property. We are really satisfied. It really helps with our electric bill and really makes the house look beautiful.
Terrible!!!!!Everything
I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with your scheduler, Terry's dishonesty. He did not inform the installers nor the salesman, Eric Freiert, from San Antonio that I WOULD NOT BE HOME Monday afternoon. The time for installation was Monday morning NOT MONDAY AFTERNOON!!!!!!
Contractor filed necessary forms and documents with the city and the HOA.Installation job was done quickly, correctly, and neatly with good quality materials
The quality of the materials was very good. There were some deficiencies in regards to getting certain parts of the project completed.
They did an amazing job.
We are happy with the quality of the windows for the price.
I thought they were very fast - I didn't expect them to finish the job as quickly as they did.
The product is great, the installers were professional, and I am going to use this company again in the future!
Overall they are a good crew that do good work. The guys are knowledgeable. They are great.
I think the quality of the product used is really good, and my two installers were amazing. But I know they don't work for Champion, but are subcontractors.
My experience was not the best. The first day the installers worked for about 3 hours and then left for the day. The second day they finished in about 2 hours. It would have been nice to not have been inconvenienced for two whole days to complete 5 hours of work. Additionally, both days they left a mess - screws, metal shavings and cigarette butts on the patio and in the yard. Lastly, they left saw horses, the extra material and large pieces of trash in my backyard for 2 weeks after installation. The finished product was not great so I called the manager to complain. As long as I was able to reach him when I called he was happy to help but his follow up was non-existent. I left voice mails and text messages that were never responded to. All in all my experience with Champion was below average and I would not recommend them to anyone I call friend.
Great experience working with Matt on the sales side, and with Abel and his crew with the install, and with Robert after everything was finished. Very professional, great quality windows for the price. Highly recommended!
We found windows to be high quality. They solved sound issue, helped retain heat, the product lived up to what they said. We are very happy.
The craftsmanship was excellent. And my neighbors raved about the door!
Due to the cost.
If I had not called continuously to get my door installed, I don't know if it would've been completed before Christmas. No one ever called me to let me know the door was in and ready to be installed. They must have a lot of work and unable to keep up with all their customers .....in a timely manner. Installers were professional and on time.........but the scheduling personnel in the office and the sales group were disappointing.
The process of buying windows can be stressful and expensive. I feel like I received great windows for my money that will last a long time and hold-up to this Texas heat. I would definitely recommend Champion Windows of Austin to friends and family.
We were totally satisfied.
I am happy I did it!
I am still waiting for the original window to be fixed.
They need to stop over booking and do their job properly for the people they promise the work to. They are better off having 10 satisfied customers instead of 30 that are mad with them because they don't fulfill their promised.
For smaller jobs, there is a chance you will get delayed time after time for your installation. They provide one excuse after the other as to why it kept getting delayed. It took 3-4 tries for me to get my windows installed.
They just had to schedule the installers on the most inconvenient day for me. They said I would get $100 off, which I did not get. The installers showed up late and could not finish the job that day. They did all but one window, which they left in the grass. They had the wrong door, but we did not discover that until they had removed the old door so they installed the wrong door. Then we had to wait 2-3 months before they could get the right door. They forced us to wait on getting the correct door in before they would finish installing the last windows. I had to be the window out of the grass.
The staff was rude and aggressively bullying. They didn't show up on time and didn't meet the deadline requirements. When I tried to get these issues resolved, I had to get upper management involved because lower management would not respond to me.
I'm satisfied with the windows, but I'm not satisfied with customer support.
The window is beautiful and we are very happy with it's appearance.
Office staff did not respond to customer referral program. I was referred by a friend and he was suppose to given a referral fee and nobody has responded yet, 4 months later with multiple phone calls. I can't possibly refer anyone to a company that will not do what they say they will.
Project took nearly 6 months to complete while promised to be done in 6 to 8 weeks (including license, order material and installation). Also a lot of mistakes due to wrong calculation from their part which cost me to pay more at the end to fix.
Great product, great service, great experience.
They have not returned any of my phone calls to address any of the issues I have with the windows I had installed.
Installation crew arrived on time and were polite and respectful of my property. Unfortunately the french doors were incorrectly made, extending the install to a full day, and they had to return to finish the job the next day. I still have a malfunctioning digital entry lock which is awaiting replacement, and I have to paint the trim around the outside of the door (not expected). Love the look of the doors and the built in screen through, just looking forward to get this all finished and a working lock!
The installers are really good at what they do but the organization and management is bad at keeping the work orders organized and correct.
Our entire house is now Champion Windows n Sliding doors. Love them! What we didnt expect is how quieter our house has become!
It was very professional and exceeded our expectations.
The installation team exceeded my expectations. They were very friendly and did a professional job. They were funny and a pleasure to be around. They were at my home for a full two days. It was a very positive experience. They were amazing to watch. I am very happy with the windows. When the salesman came to my home I told him that I didn't want a big project to do. We had just moved in and I felt overwhelmed. I didn't realize that they were going to have to build frames for around the windows at the rear of my home. I didn't know I was going to have to paint the frames. I haven't finished painting them yet. It is a little irritating because I wasn't expecting to do it. I would have paid extra to have them do it if I had known about it. Matt was awesome and I would recommend him to my friends. Champion does a lot of home stuff and I imagine they could have painted the frames. If they had said that they would paint the frames for a price then I would have agreed to it because I hate to paint.
Champion always responded immediately to address all problems noted during the building process.Todd Streske would always call to ensure everything was moving to schedule and if there were any snags they were taken care of.
