They did a good job overall, but you need to keep an eye on things and make sure they don't skimp out on stuff and perform finishing touches. As long as you are assertive, they will address their shortcomings.

Overall I’m very pleased with Chattanooga Exteriors, especially my project manager who is very responsive. Last year we Rebuilt a weak poorly constructed wall using Andersen windows and James Hardie siding. (Previously Windows had been replaced by another company, which did not cure the intermittent leaks). I watched the whole construction process, everything looked like it was done well and to Andersen specifications as far as I could tell. I was so shocked when one of my new windows started leaking, almost a year later. I called my project manager, and he came immediately, took a picture and started the Andersen window warranty process. He said it is a slow process, hopefully it will be resolved soon. I would like more communication follow up, what is happening, when will the window be worked on?

My wife and I never look for the cheapest option when it comes to hiring contractors. Deciding on Hardie board and using Chattanooga Exteriors was certainly not the cheapest option but after the fact, I can say it was the best option and a wise choice. The quality of work surpassed even my expectations (which is saying something). Our house could be on a magazine cover now. Our house looks brand new. No maintenance for 15 years - what a deal! surprised me.

The crews involved in the work were respectful and competent. Our Project Manager, Nic, was exceptional. He was at our home 3,4,5 times per day. I have used Chattanooga Exteriors twice. Once on a former house and once on a new purchase. I have found that their work is good. Even with a bunch of weather delays, especially rain, they were able to fit me in and get things done in a reasonably timely fashion.

Chattanooga Exteriors lived up to their reputation as the premier installer of Hardie siding in Chattanooga. While you may be able to save money by acting as your own project manager, for a complex job like mine (stripping off vinyl siding,; replacing all siding, soffets, facia, trim with Hardie; painting exposed wood on a multi-gabled house on a steep slope), I was very happy to rely on Chattanooga Exteriors to manage its subcontractors and the overall job. The entire Chattanooga Exteriors management team was on-call to answer my questions. The generally minor issues I had were resolved quickly. The project manager, who came by to check on progress nearly every day, paid close attention to the work quality of the subcontractors and ordered fixes to problems I hadn't noticed. The siding installers and the painters, in particular, were very careful and diligent workers. I would recommend Chattanooga Exteriors for Hardie siding projects.
