Working with Classic Metal Roofs was a great experience. The initial consultation was informative rather than pushy. Mike offered a great deal of information and guidance. The crew that installed the roof was very thorough and neat. They worked hard and cleaned up everything each evening. The finished roof looks great. The flashing around the chimneys looks solid and precise. We've gone thorough a couple of rain storms with strong wind that would have made our previous roof leak, but our new roof kept us completely dry. I really appreciate the hard work of everyone at Classic Metal Roofs.
Classic Metal Roofs work was done quickly, and the end result greatly improved the look of our house.
FYI - Neither Karen nor Peter have Gmail accounts which were needed for the other type of review. The process of agreeing on scope of work and signing the contract was fairly easy. Mike replied in a timely fashion when we had questions. The crew was respectful and worked hard.
Excellent experience start to finish!
Our large barn had a metal roof installed, with snow brakes, by another company. When the snow brake system failed, the company was slow to respond. We were promised a repair (we were not asking for the work to be done for free). After 15 months and no response, I contacted CMR….and they were outstanding with their response, price, and scheduling. I thought since this was a small repair project done by another company, we would likely not get it done before winter. The crew sensed my concern and CMR sent someone. I could not be happier and look forward to working with CMR in the future! Great job!! (And after several snow storms this winter, the new system installed is superior to what was previously on the roof).
Classic Metal Roofs did a beautiful job on our roof! We are so happy we never have to worry about ice dams or leaks again. They installed the waterproof underlayer as early as possible, to fix our active leaking problem while we waited for aluminum roofing materials to be available. They were great about explaining the process and helping us understand the extent of our rotting wood that would need to be replaced. They also communicated clearly about the cost, and we did not have any surprise costs. However, their other communication could be improved. Several times, roofers showed up at my house without any advance warning. I also had to speak with a materials delivery person myself to ensure they gave us enough material for the house and the shed, because Classic Metal Roofs had not passed on my request to replace the gutters on the shed in addition to the house.
We have mixed feelings about how our roofing project went. The roof looks like it was installed well, but there were several issues along the way that if we were not home to witness, would not have been resolved. During installation the crew left at the end of a Friday and left a large hole in the roof just before a storm that came over the weekend. We had water pour into the house and I had to address the leak myself due to the storm coming on a weekend. CMR and I came to an agreement on squaring up on covering the water damage. The crews crushed several plants along the sides of the house during installation. The cleanup each day was poor as there was debris both large and small left behind. The gutters were installed incorrectly and we had water that would drip behind the gutters instead of into them. The downspouts terminated in poor locations and the connections were installed backwards, allowing water to pour out at each connection. These items were eventually rectified, but the communication response was slow and stressful. Ultimately we are happy with having a roof that should last for the rest of our lifetime, but the attention to detail throughout was lackluster for a premium product installed by a premium company. It does leave us slightly concerned over the longevity of the roof since we are not roofing experts and don't know what problems there may be that we may have missed.
We had arranged for an Oxford shingle overlay with a small amount of standing seam. It took a while to get started due to a need to coordinate with the solar panel company…definitely not the fault of CMR. The project was completed during my timeframe (Fall 2021), and took 12 days. During this time, staff kept the urban small lot site neat and safe. Minor damage to a neighbor’s fence is on its way to being repaired. At the time of writing this review, the roof has been installed for two weeks (including one wind-swept rainstorm). So far, appearance and workmanship are fine, and we are pleased with the result.
Great product and professional service.
I am making my comments on those who where there through the project. Jr and his crew did good work and were respectful. However, they had several other people there on the last day of installing the roof. Those last day people from another crew I am VERY unhappy with THEIR work. They were disrespectful to my property and did a bad job, which soured the project. I would not let these other people back onto my property.
Classic Metal Roofs did a wonderful job installing our beautiful standing seam roof. They were transparent, answered all our questions promptly, and worked hard. The job site was clean and picked up every day. Our roof was an expensive investment in our home, and the guys at Classic Metal Roofs really understood that and delivered the high quality service expected on such a project. Highly recommend.
They are professional, fast, and did a great job.
Quality of work was great overall
The quote process was very professional, and gave us a good number back compared to other companies we talked to. But we didn't just pick the "cheapest". We also called references and drove around to look at some jobs of theirs. Also, it was nice to be able to see some of their jobs virtually, in photos and videos. - Then when they came and did the work, the team was GREAT! And they were DONE in 2-1/2 days! They cleaned the yard at the end of each day. And here's a real "going beyond the call of duty" story: They left at the end of one day, assuming there'd be no rain that night, without putting the top cap on the roof, since they weren't done yet. Then, a while later it started to pour rain, with lightning and thunder. All of a sudden we hear a commotion outside. The entire team had turned around when they saw the weather, and in the middle of the storm, went up on the roof and put on the cap to keep the water out of our house! I kept telling them it wouldn't be worth it if they slipped on the wet metal roof, or got hit by lightning! But up they went. - Finally, we're very pleased with the work, and have gotten many compliments from neighbors. - And in case you're wondering, it is NOT noisy when it rains.
